A Conversation for The Rolling Rock Ranch
The Road Home
Amos the Ranchhand (and Driver) Started conversation Sep 25, 2002
*Amos has driven the tram-carriage up close to the now-ruined church in the old Indian Village, but the journey back takes place on this road, which forks off the road back to Peta Gulch and heads downhill to the coast and then straight along to H2G2 Village. The views all along the road are beautiful as it winds along the fjords before eventually coming to the beach*
*So now Bonnie and Clyde stand hitched to the tram as the posse boards. Other saddle horses stand nearby, all of them dwarfed by Titania's great gray, Gandalf*

Gandalf! How reassuring to see that you are well!*searches in her pockets for some Swedish 'knäckebröd'*
*looks around for a big rock*

[Zero] You know, I've always wondered why the original Mega Man always walked home instead of teleporting.
[X] It's to give time for the closing credits.

*grabs hold of Lucan's coat to keep him from falling off*
I said, drive on, Higgins! We're not waiting for that public conveyance.
*aside to Floradora* Look at those two farm animals pulling for them. Hooves like dinner plates!

There is a loud crack from under the Bottomley carriage and the axle breaks neatly in half.

Floradora Debjello Posted Sep 26, 2002
*now thoroughly "on" as a future Lady Bottomley-Webjello, Floradora acts helpless and screams*

dElaphant (and Zeppo his dog (and Gummo, Zeppos dog)) - Left my apostrophes at the BBC Posted Sep 26, 2002
Looks like they'll have to ride with us. I'll just wipe these crumbs off the seat next to me so there's room, oh good boy Zeppo! That will get the crumbs off, I'm sure they won't mind the saliva.

[Zero] We could teleport them ... but it isn't safe for humans and I'm not sure about Jellos.

Carmel Bunny, spokes stuffie for cute things everywhere Posted Sep 27, 2002
*Carmel (it's difficult to tell, given what her natural voice sounds like, but the cheery and sweet inflections might be just a little forced* Oh, I'd be happy to make room right here beside me!
*Carmel and the pugs are sitting under the seat*

Coniraya Posted Sep 27, 2002
*Scrunches up as much as possible into the corner*
There is a little room over here.
If I don't get time to post again, please assume I'm tagging along

*assists Floradora in clambering out of the gig, which is listing to starboard but fortunately not blocking the road*
Higgins, unhitch the mares, would you, and tack them up with the hunting saddles. Then wait here.
Not to worry, Lucky, we can hack to wherever this place is, maybe even pop a hedge or two on the way.
Floradora, my dear, you sit with these other, ah, ladies, why don't you, and my footmen will sit on the roof and be at your beck and call.

Jello Wolf Posted Sep 27, 2002
*An arrow flashes through the window and embeds itself in the wood inches from Bottomley's left ear. Hoofbeats are heard receding into the distance.*

Garius Lupus Posted Sep 27, 2002
*Looks around the horizon, hand shielding his eyes, as the transfer of passengers takes place. Hears the arrow hiss by him before it goes through the tram window. Sees a flash of eagle feathers in the distance as a lone indian rides away.*
I suspect we haven't seen the last of him.

[X] We'd better get on point -- no use taking chances!
[Zero] Right.
[They get into defensive positions around the carriage]
