smiley - ale So how come you needed your teeth mangled?

A filling came out a number of weeks back. I tried to do a temp fix with the stuff that you can buy at the chemist. That worked for about a week. Then it got worse when I tried to redo with the temp stuff. So off the the tooth mangler and he did the expected I think it's the root line. I was trying to wait till I go for a checkup in a couple of weeks time. Still it should get finished then, rather than just getting the first stage work done.

Blimey, there's more to come? I think you mentioned this at the time of the falling out - sorry.

No worries. It seems this is done in two stages from reading about it on the web. I'm still impressed they managed to see me, also the new dental pricing structure makes it simple to know what I'm having to pay (£15.50 for the emergency work and I expect another £42.40 for the other stuff that'll be done when I go back).

What was the old version like then?

The Bar

Phil

You used to get charged for the work done. So under the new arrangements some things become cheaper, other stuff becomes more expensive. Still it could be worse, I could have had to go private for what needed to be done.

Oh. I suppose if I visited the dentist with any decent regularity I'd know this.

I'm only paying attention because I've had some fairly major work done by the tooth mangler in the last 12-18 months and now this.

You're lucky to have an NHS dentist, we have to go private smiley - grr How's things anyway Phil, are you and MC up for a meeting April, Dr Who at the Science Museum & then a curry?

I'm working hard to keep the NHS dentist, doing my bit to keep them in business smiley - winkeye

I think we could be up for a bit of Dr Who and a look round a curry.

I have no idea if there's an NHS dentist around here. I must sort out that HC1 form and see if I can register somewhere.
