Vacancy: Campsite Manager
Evangeline Posted Oct 21, 2002
Frankie Roberto,
Thanks for trusting me with the Campsite. I'll sift through the conversations to see if there are more campers that need to be added to the list. Guide ML isn't a problem for me. Tonight after work I'll have more time for that.
Master B,
Thank you, and congratulations to you as well. I would very much appreciate your help with maintaining and promoting the Campsite.

Perhaps a start would be to write a short article for <./>ThePost</.> about the change of management, the site in general and the forthcoming events planned? You could also request an ad in the Announcements section - email Greebo about this.

hullo, hullo
evangeline!
i would like to thank the other two for applying also, we need people to care about this great place, i love the campsite, but i NEVER would have time to do something as large as the campsite...
as most of you know i tried Opp. HS a.k.a. Sheep Revolt and that dragged, i cant say i would be the best person for the campsite. i would like to help with promoting it though, if i can, i will get to start on that in a sec!

Great, it sounds like you all have some kind ideas about how to inject some new life into the site!
Shall we do a formal hand-over ceremony in a few days time?

I've sorted the conversation list for campers not listed on the Happy Campers list, collected their U#'s and added Link tags.... Where would you like me to send this?

To u125489 * @ * frankieroberto.com (remove " * "s) please.
Were there many people missing?

Seven or eight depending on how you count them. Three of them just pitched their campsites this past weekend. And, then there is the Alfresco Pub.

Frankie, whenever it is convenient is fine. Don't rush on my account.
Many thanks to all of you for your kind offers of help in maintaining and promoting the Campsite.

It depends on when someone from the Towers transfers the editing rights. I haven't added in the links you did for me by the way, just haven't had the time...
For the time being we can start plotting how to promote the site.

Hi, you now have editorial control over the site Evangeline. Can you add my name as a contributor please? Also, you might want to write an update to the introduction that mentions the handover.

Hi Frankie Roberto,
The Campsite showed up in my list of Guide Entries Friday. Only, I didn't have time to do anything until Saturday. The Happy Camper List is updated. Your name is still in the Written and Researched by list. Is there another place that I Should list your name and U#? Which I would be happy to do, just point out where.
As for an addition to the introduction, any suggestions on how to word that would be appreciated. The past couple of days were not exactly my most eloquent. Real Life has been a bit intense lately. I try to avoid that as much as possible.

Hey, don't worry, you're doing a great job. Better than I've been doing in the past few months in fact. About the researcher credits, I obviously didn't read carefully enough... All I meant about the introduction was that you put something like 'and then in November 2002, the Campsite changed hands yet again to be run by the lovely Evangeline...'

Thanks for the vote of confidence.
Added in this bit to the intro:
In November of 2002 the Campsite once again changed hands. Frankie Roberto graciously passed the management duties to Evangeline. The new management staff includes Master B and Bob the Farmer, who generously offered their services as Deputies to assist with the proper maintenance and promotion of the Campsite.
Seriously considering starting an "Office/suggestion box" thread. Mainly to collect suggestions, decide on dates and times for events, before posting on the Announcement board.

That's a good idea (see, I knew you'd be good at this). We could have a look at re-introducing some kind of social area too. The tiki hut mentioned in the intro didn't really take off.
