Dear GTB,
You are marvellous for volunteering to do some research to make this piece complete. Thank you. There's some fantastic suggestions for research in your proposals and I'm really looking forward to the entry
Dear HappyDude,
Being an east London sort of girl, I know that such places exist, and I think it is very important to make the distinction between good and bad places.

"Dancing on tables may be a respectable profession in some places (it looks like lilithcookie is writing as a resident of the US) and a really good way to earn money, but in London it isn't. The places where you can see it are really dodgy. " - posted by Anna.
but ya didn't, your post suggested that all London table dancing clubs were of the "really dodgy" variety, which is not the case. I think your comments passed unwarranted aspersions on some hard-working girls.

Dear HappyDude,
All right then, my posting should have said something like 'Some places where you can see it are really dodgy.'

So, Anna, Happydude... *which* of you is volunteering to take me to a not-so-dodgy table-dancing venue the next time I'm in London?
I've copied the content of this entry to A819344. I won't be working on it immediately, because I've just received a batch of subedits that I need to work on. Watch this space though, and I'll alert this thread whenever I've got it wrapped up well enough to re-submit to Peer Review. Oh the research I'll do...
Could someone remove this thread from PR, please?

It will have to be Anna, I only visit such establishments in a professional capacity. Sophisticats is probably the best of the bunch followed by Stringfellows.

"I only visit such establishments in a professional capacity."
We could involve professionals, if that would make you feel better...
A731477 - Dancing on tables...
HappyDude Posted Sep 4, 2002
not really, I don't really aprove of such places

Erm... I can't say I'm that keen to go either. I saw all I needed to when I lived in Thailand. I could take you on a boat trip instead, how would that be?

GTBacchus Posted Sep 12, 2002
Yes, a boat trip sounds lovely.
Is there any way someone in the Towers there could pull this thread out of PR? I'm just getting started on a new version now, which I'll submit when it's ready. A819344, like I said above, but this thread should go back to the original entry.

I'm not sure I understand. Where is the entry now? Does this mean you will never include it unless Lil comes back to fix it up? Cause Lil is not coming back, not cause she is disgusted with anybody, cause she can not.

U166086 is giving the article a polish, including some of the suggestions that have been made in peer review.

Yes, I'm working on it. It will be at A819344 when I put what I have now online. I'm glad for this reminder anyway, maybe I'll work on it tonight, as sleep seems to be out of the question...

Oh hell... The work I had done was lost when I installed a new operating system on this computer. Back to square 1, it looks like.

I guess it's gonna be a while till I get the hang of this place. Just finding my way to this leg of the discussion was confusing. So I take it you are rewriting Lil's piece? I was just wondering if that is the way it usually goes. I mean if a person writes something and puts their name on it, and their name continues to be associated with it, it doesn't seem like somebody else should change it to me. Do you think it is possible that I might see the most recent version of Lil's article? I take it she had already changed the perspective and made some suggested content modifications?
