Man...that's an old gag. Goes back to the twenties.
And it's in PR?
and it was typed two years ago?
Huh?

oh well, see how ignorant I am! I didn't realise it was a well-known and ages-old piece. And even worse, I didn't bother to reply here
For compensation, how about looking at this one:

Are things changing around here?
Let me see... I think I saw something the other day on the first man to eat an oyster....

Hi guys,
I'm gonna start up #25 on Sunday.
Now, ..in #24 I promised we'd have a bit on PUDDING and something from Thirdgirl next week. So I'll do those two bits if you guys can find three or four other pieces. No theme necessary, in fact a back to basics search for bright funny stuff is what we need to shrug off this aura of predictability and conformity with which we have saddled ourselves. I'm sorry I ever got us into 'thematics'; it was just a way to encourage others to try assembling pages. I tried to make it appear as-simple-as making up a mix-and-match ensemble, mostly because I could not properly articulate my own secret-inner-formula for the concocted assemblages that were some of best blunderbus issues.
piece peace

Ah, just go rummage in Waitresses.
I like making up "themes' because I'm lying.
Every issue I put together is about me.
So, there!

>> "..because I could not properly articulate my own secret-inner-formula for the concocted assemblages that were some of [OUR] best blunderbus issues." <<
I hope in the semi-privacy of this sidebar thread in an back alley of the AggGag turf, I can safely confide to my fellow aggists that I am becoming increasingly concerned about a creeping tendency to leave words out. The word 'our' should have defined "our best blunderbus issues" in the sentence above.
Perhaps I have been having mini-strokes and am slowly becoming aphasiac, but I have been doing it a lot lately. I write, then I edit, I proof-read and I post only then to discover I left out a key word. Not just once or twice lately, it's becoming a worrisome trend.
It takes me upwards of fifteen minutes to write, edit and post a simple message like this and there will still mistakes.
So please proof read #25 when I get it up. And please offer some suggestions and intros. I am quite busy and as I've just explained, feeling a bit unsure about my fading editorial abilities. Don't worry I haven't lost my sense of humour and will enjoy your cruel and mocking criticisms.
peace

Hey guys, take a look at this one
A920819 - the birth
in Peer Review right now but I hope the author will apply here soon.
And yes, sometimes I like to refresh some old threads

In light of my recent offer to do some proofreading for your Uni project, and my claim of a good editorial eye for typos, it is quite appropriate and timely that you remind me of my own admitted shortcomings as I outlined in my posting above (#31), the one which put this thread to sleep.
In my defense, this lazy cognitive condition, while it still occurs regularly and is getting worse, only seems to be active when reviewing my own writing. When others make mistakes I see them quite clearly.

What happened to the Border Patrol at PR?
Oh, that's right, you're the INS of PR, aren't you, Sir Boss?

Don't worry tonsil, the Grim Reaper is subscribed to all that researcher's PR threads and will take care of them. It's only that Scouts have been instructed to be 'fluffy'.
'INS'?

jwf, don't worry either! I've quit pressing the 'preview' button some time ago. I hope I'm coherent and able to get the point across, even if there's a typo here and there or a word missing.

Every time you say 'Grim Reaper', I hear the voice from the last episode in Monty Python's 'Meaning of Life'.
