Just to let you know that this entry has been recommended, but I haven't processed it yet as there is information in this Conversation that needs incorporating in the text.
Let me know when it's green for go!

Hey Guys,
As the Researcher of this piece hasn't come back, I'm not processing this entry yet.
It will stay in PR and hopefully will be scouted again when it has been updated.
Many thanks
Ashley

How about it Magic Hat?
I really like the entry but like Ashley says it would be nice to add in the info that has been supplied above

Just thought I'd boot this back up the list - it's a good one, and if the author can do a few little tweaks, I'd say it's nearly ready!
Good stuff...

Hey there, Magic Hat - how are you getting on with this one? It's looking good but if you can incorporate some/all of the comments in this here thread then we'll have another *really* good entry headed for the Guide. Let me know how you're fixed...

a minor point about rasputin's religion.
He belonged to a section ofthe church that believed in salvation through confession and forgiveness, with a twist. that believed that you ought to commit lots of sin, so that you had something to confess, and needed forgiveness.
strange people.

Mr. Legion Posted Jul 9, 2002
This section was called the Khlysty. Just to clarify. It was more of a sect, though it had a large following in the countryside, being linked to older pagan rituals. So Rasputin would achieve a state of 'holy passionlkessness' by having huge three-day orgies. When he was exhausted and could engage his passions no more, he would feel closer to God. Salvation through fornication - could it attract more people to the priesthood?

The GR Manoeuvre --- a posting a day keeps the reaper away Posted Jul 24, 2002
Author has unsubscribed and hasn't posted to h2g2 for over 2 months... good subject though, whould could be really great with a little more fleshing out and tidying up - anyone fancy a go?

Mr. Legion Posted Jul 24, 2002
I'd like to have a go at tidying it up...I originally found this thread while checking if anyone had done a piece on Raspy, 'cause I wanted to do one. I'd be glad to take over. Would that be OK?

Kerr_Avon - hunting stray apostrophes and gutting poorly parsed sentences Posted Jul 24, 2002
I think that would be fine! If you remove the 'A' from the beginning of the entry's number in the URL, and repalce it with 'test', you'll be able to see the GiudeML for the page, you can then copy that into a new entry of your own. Don't forget to credit the original author, and good luck .

Ok, thanks Ashley. I'm still at the tweaking stage, haven't got that much done. But I've been researching it and will start the rewrite as soon as I have time.
