In the middle of the fort is a large space open to the elements. A few tethered camels grumble as off-duty fleas play dice in the shade.
The parade ground takes up most of the internal areas of the fort, and in between the ramshackle mud buildings crammed against the walls and artillery pieces and shells in various stages of disrepair, an irate Bulldog RSM tries to get his charges into some kind of shape by shouting at them as they march around with full packs.
