Okay, so that makes two of us!
I'm always so happy when there are actually other credit watchers in the theatre with me! The ushers cleaning up aren't usually as rude when there's 4 or 5 people sitting there!

Hey, maybe we should form a club
I hold a special place in my heart for all of the techies, being a theatre techie myself (well, high school, but it counts)

I'm sure you picture your name up there one day, and hope that *somebody* sticks around to see it there!

you guys too? my brother got me into credit watching...i'm not always particularly interested in everything in the credits, but i like the music, and the funny names, and the bizarre quirky bits, and the annoying the parents/cinema people!
also, apparently they are obliged by law to run the film right to the end, or they have to for some reason, so we might as well make it more worth while for them...
i prefer it when it's just the people i came with who stay and watch the credits...it just makes me seem that little bit more bizarre...

FG Posted Feb 9, 2002
Only in recent months have "my people" been nice about staying until the end with me to watch the credits. They used to walk out in a huff and tell me to meet them somewhere else. I can't remember how I got started--I've just always stayed until the curtain dropped--even as a kid. With the advent of home video/dvd it's made everything just so much easier. But there's nothing like the big screen!!
One of the benefits of credit watching is learning which movies have the best soundtracks to buy! I point that out to people, but no one listens.
Is anyone else disappointed when television networks (cable or otherwise) ax the credits or run them REALLY fast?

I am, most definately!
I must also confess to having a penchant for credits and, along with FG, being especially interested in the music side of things which also (unfairly in my eyes!) come right at the end. Personally, I feel that the composers/singers/performers should come slightly higher up the credit ratings than the hairdressers/hair stylists etc!

Some films take longer to come here because they have to be subtitled into Dutch... not the easiest language in the world!

The great thing about videos is you can pause the credits and rewind if you missed anything I was hurried out of the cinema when I saw A Bugs Life and missed the 'out-takes' I'll never be hurried out again. (I've seen it since on video so no harm done and I learnt my lesson. I sat tight for the credits of Shrek and was glad I did).
