Just wanted to let you know that I can at least give you an Entry number for Eric Idle now: A701434 . I've only written an introductory paragraph so far, but I am aware of the deadline date and will try to keep to it!

Don't worry about the deadline - I've still got loads to write and it's not all going to happen this week

I'm sorry you're still waiting for Eric. I have done a lot of work on it, as you can see, but I have had a lot going on in my life and just haven't had the chance to finish it. Your own amazing workrate puts me to shame! Please forgive me - I'll get on with it as soon as I'm back from holiday next weekend!

Greetings from Lytham Library, and thanks for being so understanding! I'm pretty pleased with the way the Entry's shaping up. I must admit that I didn't realise quite how many different things Mr Idle had done - I've still got to cover his stage acting, his play writing, his novels and his Gilbert and Sullivan operetta singing!

All of the Pythons seem to have ridiculously varied careers... Some people are just show-offs

I have added a few more paragraphs to the Eric Entry in the past week, and I will continue to add to it - there's still his theatre and music careers to cover! I see that there are still three more Entries to do for the project, so I'm not particularly hurrying, but do let me know if my leisurely pace is causing any problems!

I've taken over the John Cleese entry myself as I hadn't heard anything from the author in weeks despite leaving some friendly reminders. Vogonpoet still plans to write about Python songs, but I know he's very busy in RL. I think when the Idle and Cleese entries are finished I might submit the project. Any other entries that people want to add can be put through PR later.

I believe I may finally have got the Eric piece finished.

Having just re-read the piece, the only other things I can think of that could be mentioned are 'Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life' becoming a football anthem (it'll doubtless be heard again during the World Cup), and the fact that Eric was the only one of the surviving Pythons who declined to take part in the 30th anniversary BBC TV special - reportedly because he'd had a row with John Cleese. I could add paragraphs on those things today if you like!

I've asked for them to be moved over to SchrEck for subbing, but if you can get in before that happens, go for it! If not, you can always write something and get SchrEck to add it later

I've added new final paragraphs to the 'Eric the Python' and 'Pop Idle' sections covering the things I mentioned.

Right, that's it - I'll leave it alone now and let the Editors do their worst!

Got it - I'm particularly looking forward to tear this piece apart.
