HAHAHAHAHAHA *falls off seat*

Tau? more advanced? Wrong!!!!!

Good Fight Of The Millenium #1: Blood Angels vs Black Templars! I've fought it twice, and it's a 1:1 draw. I've learned the hard way never to let the Emperors Champion anywhere near the Chaplain. Ouch!

How about Blood Angels vs World Eaters vs Orks vs Tyranids? Now /that's/ a painful melee!

That would just be major combat (new combat rules of website, they're crap)
Tau? more advanced? Wrong!!!!!
Wargamer (The Wanderer) Posted May 8, 2002
Yeah, but it does mean the combats are bigger, badder and bloodier than ever! Personally though, I'll stick with 3rd Edition all the way!

Little Question #1: Characters can have two 1 Handed Weapons, right? So, if you have the True Grit ability, can you have two Master Crafted Storm Bolters?

Still, in the 40K 4th Edition Rules, Terminators and Bikers can still fire at full effect with their Bolters/Stormbolters and still get +1 Attack for charging...
...I Love Ravenwing!

Any weapon mounted on a vehicle (or dreadnoughts and bikes) can fire weapons to their full effect.
(oh yeah and Thousand Sons ignore moving modifiers for shooting. Their great! I'm going to do an Index Astartes army of them.)*evil laugh*
((now that's beardy!))

cough cough, N'aki is the most illegal chara i have ever seen. First he can use 2 magic swords, second he can't use wpns form other army lists.
My blood drangon would nail him any way. If he charges he has 5 wpn skill 9 strength 8 attacks and can re-roll missed attacks. And he is a lvl 2 necromancer that (if he gets 'Hand of Dust') can kill you if he hits on 1 dice. He should get 2 attack first 1- because he has an initiative of 7, 2- the effects of 'Hellish Vigor' make him attack first. And He isen't even a lord. I fi had the points i'd put him a on a Zombie dragon and upgrade 2 a lord, but that would be well over 1000pts .
I play Tau and they are a very compitent army. Although i wouldn't say they are more advanced than Eldar because they can use Warp Travel, they haven't made ships the size of planets and the little flat faces (on average) have an initiative of only 2 compared to eldars average of 5. They are however an excelent army 2 play with, Broadsides make all of thier disadvantages fly away.
It is possable to make super hard but legal charas in 40000. I've just started a Black templar army and my commander (High Marshel) has 5 attackes, 6 if charges that hit on 3+ (because of the vow 'Accept all challenges, no matter the odds') and can re-roll to wound rolls (Pair of lighning claws with terminator honours). He also has the normal artificer armour and Iron Halo. BUT!!!!!!!!!! To make even more sure he doesn't get killed in combat his body gaurd consists of 7 Assault terminators in a Land Raider Crusader . Thats (considering the unit charges) 24 attacks that are either thunder hammers or lightning claws that hit on 3+ with no armour save.
