My mother say that we must pick a place to all stay at (and by all I mean those traveling grat distances) and we must make reservations ASAP or else thare might not be room enough. How about the Holiday Inn in Lancaster, where we could get AAA discounts and/or a block rental rate.

Lady Scott

Yes, you must do it quickly, there were some places I called that were already booked for Sat night. This is a tourist area, you know.

I checked into several other places online - even with AAA discounts, the best prices were still the travelodge and the park inn. But you all need to decide what to do amoung yoursleves. The only thing is, in order to get your block rate, you need to know how many rooms you'll be needing, which means you need to know how many people are coming...

I don't know if there will be a simultaneous posting during the wedding ... There was talk of one, but so far nothing definite.

Holiday Inn sounds fine to me.

Park Inn!

And we could guessitmate, and double up more if necessary... I'm going to try to avoid paying for a whole room by myself... (Lady Scott, go ahead and tell Lord Scott he's off the hook... *After* a decision's been reached smiley - winkeye (He could still surprise us!))

I vote for a non-smoking room, too...

Hm, if parents would be willing, I wouldn't mind sharing with some of the teenage girls... Split the costs evenly...

I'd said, a few posts ago, that I needed to share a room to cut down on costs, no matter where we decided to stay (though I vote for Park Inn) I also said (and this is the relevant bit) that, if parents permit, I wouldn't mind sharing with the teenage girls. All I meant was the more in the room, the cheaper for eachsmiley - tongueout Tac, of course, is an adult male...

How much is it, though? And how many rooms do we need? And how many people can share a room to split costs? And how much of a discount? And are we going to have one person book all the rooms and we'll all compensate him/her? Or will one person book each room, and his/her roommate(s) will compensate that person?

But Mr Christopher's right--we need to figure this out SOON! I'll go with whatever everyone else decides, but I *have* to share with at least one person...
