I didn't find CT that bad at christmas, but she just seemed a bit whiney.
Always saying "help me" and "what's that"
The classic companion really.

I'm sure she'll be fine, it's just the whole ethos behind using celebby actors like this.

eloisa Posted Jul 6, 2007
'Cos there aren't any perfectly good unknown actors out there?
Pedants Corner
Researcher 3547123 Posted Jul 6, 2007
Sorry, I don't buy that one, Russel has taken loads of not-so-well or unknown actors and really brought them on, this is just a cop out.

Looks outside at the weather...
er should be!
But alas no!

eloisa Posted Jul 11, 2007
Baking heat, tourists, distinct absence of metal army slaying the populace. Nope, can't be!

Bristol weather is so miserable!
I just hate rushing to H2G2 looking for some DW chat and....er....nothing!

Considering anything that's said will be seen as a spoiler this thread is going to be dead until Christmas

I just went to Outpost Gallifrey, that's a scary looking place. I think I shall stay here where it's safer!

Jemstone Posted Jul 12, 2007
I know! I found the same with Gallifrey too Eloisa. Far too much going on and looking rather complicated!
hootoo safe, hootoo warm and comfy!

The Dr Who part of Gateworld is fun http://forum.gateworld.net/forumdisplay.php?f=60 we're a friendly bunch as well and spoilers aren't a problem, they have spoiler tags

OG ain't scary, and once you've got the hang of it it's more user-friendly than here. Spoiler tags and post edits are both very useful.

"Spoiler tags and post edits are both very useful."
Amen to that, I wish DNA would drag itself kicking and screaming into the 21st Century

Perhaps I'm old fashioned, but I like the fact that what you read here is what people originally posted. Unless the moderators got called in of course.

In my experience an Edit function rarely gets used to change posts other than for corrections or additions, and only immediately after the post was, er, posted. Any attempt at malicious/revisionist editing is scuppered by the 'quote' that appears in a reply (another common feature on other sites.)
Still, other sites don't have entries about and groups for Dr Who and every other subject under the sun!

Wouldn't an automatic preview before posting be a good compromise?
Anyway, to inject some Dr Who back into this thread, it had always bugged me why The Face of Boe had said "Hello, old friend" to the Doctor (in 'New Earth') when it was just the second time they'd met. I was in my sister's car on Tuesday and we had the DW soundtrack playing; 'The Face of Boe' came on and my mind suddenly clicked it all into place- they *were* old friends

I use the edit button on GW to correct spelling or add something I thought of immediatly after hitting the post button, who here hasn't done that
Key: Complain about this post
