Traveller in Time Who is the assistant of Who ?
"In a couple of episodes we can say goodbeye to the Doctor, his assistant will clear all questions before he asks them.
There will be a piper needed for the dramatic parts "

Yea, that was great
Roll on next week!
Oh
I got all excited when I saw Captain Jack on that trailer too.
I hope those singing Klingons are back in Eurovision.

Great episode
Found the ending a little ridiculous but very enjoyable

*I'll just cut-and-paste my opinion from the other thread*
I thought this week's was pretty good, certainly better than the dalek two-parter. The CGI monster was a bit poor (terrible face reminiscent of The Scorpion King from "The Mummy Returns" and I think the splitting-chin fangs-thing was pinched from "Blade 2") but the story wasn't too bad, the prosthetics were good, the script commendably treated the viewers as having some sort of intelligence and Mark Gatiss is clearly brilliant and deserves kudos for getting nude on prime-time Saturday-night telly.
Regarding the "Coming Soon" trailer, did anyone else find the most intriguing bit the short scene with Saxon (I assume) wearing an oxygen mask and tapping-out a rhythm on the table with his hand? Seriously creepy and not in the usual "something might go "BOO!"" way that's usually meant, seriously creepy in a proper, weird, disturbing way.

I've gone and forgot to edit the mistake I made in the last one. I meant to say "way that's usually meant in regard to this series".

About bloody time too!! a decent On-the-edge-of-your-seat Dr Who. I really enjoyed this, apart from the Holier Than Thou speeches by the Doctor, I'm getting REALLY sick of these now and was the Phantom of Southwark Cathederal really neccessary? I loved the joke about Reversing the Polarity of the DNA manipulator and Mrs Jones slapping the Doctor a la Jackie and Dr9
all in all a great episode, really made up for the diappointment of the last 2 weeks and I can't wait for the next one

And I´m sure some people out there was very happy to have a Spinal Tap reference.

Just saw it and wasn't very impressed but I think I find the stand alone episodes a little pointless now: give me some story arc stuff!
Small quibble: where did all the extra mass come from when Mark Gatiss grew to several times his normal size?
I liked the Spinal Tap reference!

Did anyone notice the 007 riff in the music when Dr ran into some arches, I think as he went up to the organ?
Nice touch after the Bond joke from earlier.

The 'turn it up to 11' line? Brilliant. My fave episode of the year, that. I really wasn't expecting much, but the whole homage to Quatermass thing really worked for me.
And for those who saw the trailer, you did notice the exact rhythm John Simm was doing, didn't you?
Clever!
