eloisa Posted Jun 19, 2009
Don't know about that. This box of three is called New Beginnings.

Radio Times is covering some Torchwood radio plays that are going out soon. I didn't know anything about it before I read that, so I though it might be a good idea to give people the heads-up. Apparently they're going out on Radio 4, in the "Play For Today" slot (although I can't remember when that is) and there are 3 or 4 of them.

Does it seem to anyone else that the Torchwood franchise is about to be finished off as video episodes?
Radio programs from the BBC don't play over on this side of the pond, I'm sorry to say. I'll have to see if they can be heard online, to non-BBC-license-payers.
Good news for USians, the BBCAmerica is playing an episode of Dr. Who called "The Next Doctor", this Friday night. Check your listings.
I have no idea where this would come in the sequence of the specials, but it might be the Christmas one, since the Dr. will run into a Victorian calling himself the Dr, Lists Catherine Tate as the companion, though, and that can't be right.

HonestIago Posted Jun 23, 2009
The Next Doctor is the 2008 Christmas special. Catherine Tate as companion is a mistake.

I'm wondering now if we'll always have a six month delay for the specials, and if that means that the next Dr. won't appear for over a year over here...BBC doesn't consult me either.

IctoanAWEWawi Posted Jun 24, 2009
nah, RIGHT (this could go on and on and on and on and on...)
Anyone else pick up that the tabloids (can't remember which one - the Sun?) have been talking about the next children in need special being and 'all doctors' special including Matt Smith and DT and all the way back - using clips and sfx for the ones no longer with us. BBC saying not much though - just that one special for children in need has been mentioned. Could be cobblers, might not be. We shall see.

That's probably actually closer to the truth.
