All will soon be revealed:

"His replacement - the eleventh Doctor of the TV series - will be revealed in a Doctor Who Confidential programme on BBC One at 1735 on 3 January."
Any final guesses? I haven't a clue myself.

I've not seen that advertised - sneaky beggers kept that a bit quiet! I'll be glued to the tv for the announcement, as I have NO clue who it might be!

I think it won't be any of the names that have been favourites with the bookies and I very much doubt it'll be anyone who's already played another role in the series (please don't all shout "Colin Baker" at me!)
My sneaking suspicion was Richard Coyle who played Jeff in Coupling (Welsh & worked with Moffatt) but I've since found out that he isn't Welsh and was rumoured to have refused to speak to Moffatt after he left the show. What do I know?!
Richard E Grant is my guess.

Saw a brief interview with DT, who said he was slightly jealous of the GUY who would be taking over the role as it would change their life completely...
So, unless he's deliberately trying to put us of the scent it won't be a woman and it's unlikely to be someone with a major hollywood career... I.e.: James Nesbitt...
