Never mind.
I checked my (six dollar) ticket and, uncharacteristically, it was a (two dollar) winner.
I won't be buying hootoo this week.

I feel I should report that I have just finished reading Mr. Ricci's biography of Mr. Trudeau and I found it time very well spent. I recommend it highly.
As for 'causal' reading, I'm not sure what this particular volume is going to cause.
Seriously, while I do a great deal of reading, I'm not sure that any of it is casual (that's what you meant, right?): I read with great seriousness and generally with directed toward some project, whether in my writing work or in visual arts.
I'm not sure that I ever remember reading casually, but I suppose I might be always said to be reading causally.
Sorry for the

There's a lot that we don't know about what's going on, Taff.
All the possible buyers will wait in line.
I hope we won't be pushed out of an airlock by Vogons into deep space, as Arthur and Ford were. Then again, we can't know whether there really is a ship powered by Improbability Drive waiting to rescue us.

Taff, I suspect they can't tell us no matter how much they'd like to.
There'll be lawyers all over the place pulling everyone's strings and yanking everyone's chains.

Can't see it somehow. With the amount of attention the disposal got when it was announced, it implies the BBC would have appointed a team of staff to give any interested bidders the runaround and make them think they were taking part in a bidding process which was purely fictional.
I'm just back from east Berlin and learned about one or two tricks the Stasi played, but even then that stretches my credulity a bit.

(The other thing being, of course, that big organisations like the BBC have more leaks than a muslin radiation suit. Mad conspiracies like that find it hard to stay hidden.)

'more leaks than a muslin radiation suit'
Just for a moment I thought you were making an ethnic slur against both the Welsh and the followers of Islam.
