I would be too. My point was that we want to attract writers not just new people in general (although non-writers are crucial to the site too).

ah, yeah but no, but like yeah see if they made an announcement prior to a pre-announcement and the pre-announcement said an announcement was imminent then any announcement would be void and so the pre-announcement would actually be the announcement followed by an announcement that a further announcement was imminent.
