Well that was worrying! 
I'll be safely in bed whilst all this new tinkering is going on.
So what exactly are we having done? Do we get anesthetic? Will we be able to eat before-hand or are we nil-by-mouth for 12 hours prior?

If you are 5 hours ahead of me then it will go down at 1:00 pm my time which means I don't have to worry because it will be after my lunch time.
