Uh... seems a lot faster ATM (9a.m. London time)... I get up to 18 Kb/s

uuuuhhhh.... 22Kb/s... but then again there are only 9 people here

The smilies don't seem to work propery... but it takes only 11 seconds to load the whole smiley page from scratch

Well, it's working and seems to be faster ... but I've a bone to pick with the staff...

You do realise what's going to happen next, Jim's going to let us spend a few hours all saying how much faster and better the site works now, and then he's going to come on an say they didn't actually change the servers afterall

well at my end it's not working, it take about six attempts to get a reply box up and last time i posted it took several attempts to get a response and then i ended up with a quadruple post.

any one else having problems, or can noone else even post?!?!?!

i conceed, sometimes it works very very fast and i am impressed, however, othertimes it's very very slow ans doesn;t load at all. i dont know if its the university server i am on here or if its the bbc end. but it's annoying. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Ditto! When I first upgraded to ADSL it made no difference to my H2G2 speed because it was already slower than my modem; now it seems the ADSL might actually be *worth* the £10 a week I pay for it!

Of course, the lack of the three to four minute pauses while pages load means the end of the last lingering vestages of my domestic activity... (Dusting, hoovering, washing dishes etc. )

I have dial up service through ATT worldnet and I don't see any increase in speed. Probably because of things between here and there.

It *is* much faster... Even 'Questions Only' loads in a decent amount of time

Tube, specifically I'm £37.99 a month with Tiscali. That's still over £1 a month cheaper than BT...

hehehe, my LAN-connection at the office is free

and it's so fast i can hardly see any improvement here

of course that's not quite true: the downtimes seem to be fewer right now. and this is usually a busy time
