I dont have a big problem with Americans, it's how they conduct themselves in the world.
The thing that gets to me is how America is the biggest terrorist nation in the world and now it sees itself as cleanser of terrorism. Many major terrorist organisations would not exist without US funding. The IRA have been bombing us Brits for 30-odd years, have we gone in bombing America for funding them? Remember Bush's statement that those who fund or shelter terrorists are just as bad as the terrorists themselves...

The School of the Americas is responsible for many of the human rights transgressions in south America. The Americans even trained and supplied Bin Laden and the Taliban for gods sake. But of course it's different when it happens to Americans.

What right do they have to kill innocents(as well as their own soldiers) for what anyone could have seen coming after all that meddling?

I AM NOT CONDONEING THE TERRORIST ATTACKS.

I just think that you cannot blame others for the skeletons that attack you when you've sown dragons teeth.

Of course many Americans here will ignore that, or deny it.
Thats what I've experienced on other boards.

Well you've just summed up the whole of the What's wrong with American's thread, and the Why do People Hate Americans thread.

Of course Bin Laden should be captured and brought to justice, but toppling the Taliban will just leave a vacuum for another horrible organisation(look at the Northern Alliances human rights record, or how 100's of taliban soldiers were killed in a school for 'trying to escape'). The policy of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' does not work. The Mujahadeen were friends according to this and were trained and supplied with weapons to fight the Russians. What did they become...
The Taliban.

Think about it, the bombing (and misplaced bombs) of Afghanistan has increased resentment against Americans, and us Brits. thats how you encourage recruits to Al-quida, or whatever organisation will spring up in its place if it is destroyed.

Revenge does not hold a place here.
