I think it might be worth mentioning some of other browsers in the same "class".
Mikey, who has found Mozilla to be *much* more user-friendly than Opera

(aside: could it be that you re-used an old A-number for this entry? Looks somewhat to find unrelated conversations hanging from it. )
I'd like to see some more info here. For example the mouse gesture controls!

while I like the review, could this fall foul of the no-advertising rules?

Mikey the Humming Mouse
I have found Opera to be a far better browser than Mozilla/Netscape, is all down to personal taste & this entry is about Opera.
Bossel, Baron von Bosselsex AND Bosselshire
Sorry, its a bad habit I know
'mouse gesture controls' - good idea but I wont have the time until after the weekend.

Its a review not an advert, I have tried to cover the bad & the good; as I understand it we are allowed to write about commercial products & link to commercial sites if the link is relevant (and if not I can show you plenty of edited pages that need to be removed).

As an Opera user, I can tell at least one thing I hate about Opera 5, it does not support the GuideML Marquee statement.
So to see my page in all its glory, I have to use IE.
I downloaded the V6 beta, but have as yet not tested it.
A pre is, that it is less vulnerable to virusses who are mostly aimed at IE and outlook(express). And it is really much faster than IE and especially Net

as much as I like Opera -- but it has a nasty habit: when searching for something in the page currently loaded, it places the search box *right over* the place where the text was found, and hides it

Oh, okay
But... this one deserves mention in the entry: Opera lets you choose whether it identifies itself as Opera or as NS/IE when requesting data from an internet server. The default setting is Netscape (I believe). Hence much of the statistics about 'what is the most common browser' can be thrown right into the bin.

Overall a good article but just a few minor points:
- Was the company name "Telenor" or "Telnor"? It was spelled both ways.
- The whole timeline section (In 1994, ... In 1996, ...At the end of 2001) might work better as a bulleted list rather than a paragraph.
- I know you can't put pictures into Guide entries except the clip art provided; perhaps there's a site somewhere that shows screen shots of the actual interface? (pictures of what the program looks like when it's running) I'm curious to see if it looks and "feels" different than IE and Netscape.

I like the entry
Maybe add a link to the Opera User's Group? To let people know that they'll receive support at h2g2 once they convert to Opera...

as h2g2OUG is not in the edited guide I don't think I can link to it in the entry ?

it won't be kept in the edited version but you can insert the link anyway
