My Classical Dictionary of Mythology states: "His attributes are the most complex and varied of those of any of the major gods"
On the first day he was alive, he DID steal Apollo's cattle... Hermes' son became the champion thief of the world.... and he was a god of thieves, among other things... like commerce... You think Bill Gates and Hermes have much in common!??

Not unless Bill Gates also lead souls to the afterlife... which I [Shudder] certainly hpoe is not the case.

I bet that his computer programs cause some to take their own lives... so... inadvertently... he's a bit like Hermes...

just got here - I don`t have any issue with Divine entities only with the application of divine power in an omnipotent fashion

Big Bad Werewolf Posted Nov 30, 2001
*The robodogs go into a feeding frenzy. Bits of cheesecake and fake fur fly through the air, amid gulping, growling and sighing noises. The frenzy slowly winds down as the mountain of cheescakes is slowly reduced. The robodogs, one-by-one, leave off eating and curl up for a nap. Finally, there is only one robodog left standing and only one cheesecake left. The robodog waddles over to the last cheesecake and licks it half-heartedly. He then passes out and falls face first into the cake.
The hallway is filled with contented snoring.*

::Hermes to Dragonfly:: Well, it wasn't the ransom they asked for anyway...
::Hermes shrugs, and, checking his beeper, sees that Zeus is in need of his services:;
::Hermes leaves in a flash... at the Speed of Hermes, too!!! ::

*Saturn Girl wanders the complex unbothered for a while... wondering where all the robomutts disapeared to.*
I may be longer between posts for a while... I'm going to be on a dial up connection, and sharing a computer with my dad and brother again... since @home, my cable ISP is down 'til they can get their new network up, since something didn't happen with the attempted buy out of excite

Dial up isn't so bad if it's all you've known... but if you're used to being on a broad band connection, and you get yanked back to dial up because one company went bankrupt, and the one that wanted to buy them out couldn't negotiate the buy out, then it really majorly sucks! And add to it the fact that because my computer doesn't have a dial up modem installed in it, I'm stuck sharing a computer with my dad and brother! *sigh*

This sounds like one of those problems that can be solved by taking depresants so the world seems faster... talk to your doctor.
