Hello lots of new bods I'm sure aka will come along soon and add you to the list but until then I will perform a little number...
*strikes a Freddie type pose*
OK then, maybe not. I wouldn't want to scare you all off so soon after meeting you

Arr, and I bet you were gonna do your little freddie-esque run across the stage with the mic stand held behind your neck? Ah well.. (Let us be thankful for small miracles ) i er mean.. what a shame
You're both added now.. and a few people who've not requested membership have asked for the badge, so I don't know what's going on there... I've told them how to fix it (they were using Plain Text instead of GuideML to write their intro.) and to come along to the club and apply officially So, I see quite a bit of updating to be done in the coming days..
Oh! I've just realised where these newbies are coming from! It must be this week that we're featured on Abi's Activities page! Yey!!

Can I join in?
My name is Lady in a tree
My researcher number is 172936
and my fave Queen song is Love of My Life 'cos I sang it with Freddie on September 8th 1984 (ok there were about 10,000 others there but to me it felt like a duet.)

That was at Wembley Arena, London Bassman - The Works Tour. The one and only time I got to see them. I went to the tribute and sung it there too. I cried. Mind you so did alot of people.

That's Bassman - You saw them on the year I was born and by the time I was old enough to understand what music I like and the rest of it, Freddie had been dead six years

Indeed. Old is what I now feel. I remember nagging my mum stupid for black nail varnish 'cos Freddie Mercury wore it on the cover of Sheer Heart Attack! That was in 1974! I was 8!

This thread is a good effort but, to be honest it is a bit daft to post 'your favourite Queen-song' isn't it ? Only one???

Yeah - which is why I refused to conform....
Favourite song is different each day... Although Hammer to Fall is pretty far up there...

Sorry, Bassman and Lady in a Tree!! I didn't mean to make you feel old! Honest! besides.. that's not old... old is what you want it to be - Old can be as in "ancient" - or old can be over 21 years "old" - It's all in the psychology
And, Lady in a Tree! My stupid Windoze calculator says you must have been born in 1918.. Not sure what happened there.. 1974 - 8 = 18 it says... !
Welcome aboard, Lynne! You'll find your name very -ly presented in our membership roster = http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/a607033#club
Feel free to promote your Fanaticisism (If that's a word... ) at any time you like, be it convinient or otherwise
Nice choice of song, By the way.. I can play the first few seconds on my piano (Well, it's a keyboard, but piano sounds more sophisticated )
Well, TowelMaster- Daft things are what make my mind and seeing as it was my tribute to Queen that this derived from in the first place, then, what I say goes! Ok?! hehe Kidding But I like daftness, and even though I wish this would move to its own thread instead of confusing me that we have a new member on my space - getting me all excited like that, what's up with you?! Although this time we actually did.. and If you look when you sign up, You'll find.. (oh wait..does that sound like a lyric from these are the days....?) that favourite song is "(Optional)" it doesn't really matter... (there we go again! "Nothing really matters.... to me...")
Well said, Argon0, It is *very* hard to choose "one" song My favourite has to be a bit of a march of the Black Queen, stroke Prophet's Song, at the minute
Although depending on my mood I can be a Queen II person or a Made In heaven, If we're going to talk about times in Queen's Music...
