A Conversation for The Ladies of the Octagonal Table

i've come forth to take my place at the octagonal table. what doth my lady require of me? shall i strum a lute for my lady's enjoyment? oh, i see that m'lady already has a lute strummer.....
then i shall read for her, the tales of our menfolk upon their glorious crusades and- alas, a fair matron fulfills this void.....
however can i serve thee, m'lady? shall i run correspondence for thee (or is it thou?)? mayhap correspondence isn't my strongest asset (olde english certainly isn't )... i might prepare thy sustenance, alas then the lady wouldst require the services of a royal food taster and i fear i would not last long. surely there is some niche i am best suited to fill! perchance i could screen the lady's suitors to ensure they are of acceptable stock? any capacity in which i could serve, i beseech thee!

That's why I'm the princess
Mayhaps thou hast read my poetry then, Lady Shea?
...and she lived to tell the tale?...

I am stronger than my frail frame and delicate ways evince, Princess Buttercup.

Truly.
But thou requireth an extraordinarily strong constitution for this, M'lady.

*is startled indeed by the sudden conversation in this quiet place. so startled in fact that she has dropped her embroidery needle.*
*as she bends to retreive it her hand slips and she pierces her dainty fingertip on the pointy end of the needle.*
aaaigh!!
please forgive me, m'lady!
