hmmm.... No.
"His boss may have needed choking. It may have been justified... someone should have asked the question 'What prompted that?'" -Los Angeles mayor Willie Brown, explaining that basketball star Latrell Sprewell should not have been fired for choking and threatening to kill his coach.

that doesn't help!
"Do not aim at establishing happiness by political means. Rather aim at the elimination of poverty by direct aims." Karl Popper

That's rather weird. Let's see...
"And JHVH said, 'I am God,' and a voice was heard to say, 'You are mistaken, Samael(1)'" -Christian Gnostic Texts
(1) "Samael" means "blind god"

how about if we each had a subject beforehand, and then we both had to give as many quotes as possible.... any thoughts, any whatsoever
"In general it is a good morning exercise to destroy a favourite hypothesis every day before breakfast- it keeps [you] young." Lorenz
How about you start off with a quote and then the next person has to give a related quote?
Which one?

I like the latter... let's see...
"It is better to be a young June-bug than an old bird of paradise." -Mark Twain

Aaaah, difficult one;
but "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." Eleanor Roosevelt

"Most people enjoy the inferiority of their friends." -Lord Chesterfield
hmm. Sound like anyone I know, SD?

What about if we had a 'challenge' call, so that if you were unsatisfied with my reply, you would challenge me and demand that I justify myself. You could have x number of challenges, and if you were wrong on a certain number of the first number, then you would lose the match. Whatdayathink?

certainly an interesting concept. perhaps we should set up a site for it?
One question: in the preceding model, say you challenged this...
"Humor is a rubber sword - it allows you to make a point without drawing blood."
-Mary Hirsch
and I said it relates because both refer to a metaphorical blood, although one states it and one points to the concept through a different word, would it be thrown out as bull, or accepted for it's literal logic?

i suppose so, since they are linked in some way, and as long as you could justify it!
COuld set up site, but need to work out definite details: like who would it be linked too: God or Muse? and lots of silly things!

Perhaps the "Peacable Kingdom", or some pun thereof, an independent "take a break from fighting, quote instead" kind of place linking back to all the RP sites, and the musehome for good measure.

As Arten isn't here, I feel I've got to take the authoritarian tone
Be careful what you ask for: cos thats one philosophical question!
