excuse me, i have spent my whole life in ealing, so i dont believe i can be accused of ignorance, the entry was written on the spur of the moment as i felt ealing should have a guide entry, at some point when i wasn't busy doing a large amount of college work i intended to come back to it and write it properly.
I admit that im not extremly knowledgeble about ealing studios at the present probably largely due to the fact that its hey day was before my time, but i felt it was worth a mention, and as most people had heard of the carry on films it seemed like a good starting point.
I shall have a look at this entry as soon as possible, to improve its view on Ealing, and im sorry if i have not given Ealing studios its full credit.
Please bear in mind that i have a level exams in about 6 weeks time, so my time is limited at present.

soz people if it seems like i have been ignoring ur advice and knowledge, i have not bee online for at least 2 months and didn't even realise entry was in peer rewiew.
Shall try editing out some of the negativism and cynical comments, though i am not going to make this entry into a tourist brochure.
hope you will prefer it

hi again,
i have re written most of the article, which was eventually my intention for the summer holidays, but here is a very rough version for now.
Once i have had a good enough opportunity to look at the stacks of info my dad has about ealing i shall improve it, but if anyone has any suggestions i would be grateful to see them.
Not quite sure whats a good way to end the entry at the moment, definately needs more thought.
The entry was originally written when i realised that ealing didn't really feature in the guide as a spur of the moment thing, the intention being to make it more into a factual history once i had the time to devote to it, but thanks for being patient with me, and for your suggestions.
I realise that the original entry was far too opinionated but for a a young person growing up in Ealing today where several generations of my family have lived with them reminiscing about the "good old days" where ealing had much more of a community feel, its all to easy to get cynical about ealing today which in areas has definately seen a decline.

This is looking much better now
Why not try submitting it to the Edited Guide Writing Workshop (<./>Writing-Workshop</.>? I'm sure you could get some helpful pointers there, it really is starting to look good.

I once posted a cheque from Ealing and it took 11 days to reach Malvern in Essex. I was told by locals that post was always slow in Ealing. Does it still have that problem?

yes unfortunately, and its now even worse lol.
Alot of the time i get post delivered for people in other roads to mine, and im sure the same happens to others, and therefore we r all reliant on people dropping off the misdelivered post to the correct recipiant. We tend to get one or two wringly delivered letters a week.
As for post leaving ealing, the safest option is to ring the people you were sending the post to to make sure it gets there, which sometimes defeats the object of the postal system,
Lol
