Oh well, he must be around here somewhere then ...
I know what you mean, Paul has such a lovely voice...and he's such a cheeky character
They also did a version of "Don't let me be misunderstood" a million years ago...it was absolutely brilliant...
...hmmm...and as luck would have it, I have to leave now...why is it that there are only people to play when I have to go ??
Anyways, lovely chatting to you
*scurries off in search of Crispian*

When I heard DAAS sing 'grapevine' a capela it bought me to tears, what a voice, what harmonies... Ahh relives fond memories of the ABC showing quality Australian entertainment for Adults. hmmmmmm.
Hey Jerms, got any more of those crispy leg shaped things you were eating earlier?
Oxygen junkies I can tolerate (being one myself) it's the oxygen thieves that annoy me ...

Living without your 8 cents a day's worth of ABC how awfull.
Just kidding about the leg shaped crispy things, sorry to alarm you

*sigh*
I was worried for a minute...It seems the kind of thing Jerms would do...just to get me back for outing him as an oxygen junkie
I know, I know...the absebce on the ABC has left a terrible void in my televesion viewing career...when I move out the first thing I will make sure of is that the new place gets Channel 2...
...well, that, and that it's within staggering distance of the pub

That last criteria is an absolute must. I have my bowling club just a block away and a Pub (that I never use - long story behind that...) across the railway. There's also a bottle-o in the mall out the back, all very handy.

Well I don't drive, so close to a tram line would be handy...but I'm moving out with my girl and the important thing is distance from the pub...she aims to never have to drive again

Well I don't drive either - I ride and motorcycles and alcohol definitely DO NOT MIX! so having a watering hole close by is a must.
Now it's time for this little Pond_Rat to wander off home, another w*rking day done.
Might see if can catch a tasty frog for dinner

Not my Crispian !!
I need a motorbike, for several reasons:
1) easier to park
2) you can ride them on your Ls
3) cheaper
4) less people will hassle you for a ride
5) the next phase in becoming “crazy old hippie lady on a motorbike”

luvwotiz - or - Resistance Is Futile so be happy with NOW Posted Sep 2, 2004
Hi, Could I be added to the list please, though I'm not too sure what the benefits are just yet? I'm still trying to figure out what to do on this site, there seems to be so much of it. Some very interesting, some pretty ordinary.
I reside in NSW. I was born in London but have lived in various parts of Aus. since 1973. I can hardly remember much about that cold miserable place, but I'm sure it would be lovely to visit!
Cheers,
Luvwotiz

They all sound like fair and reasonable reasons to me Tanzen. But I am slightly biased - everyone should ride, cars should be illegal cause they kill people, lots of people. Especially people who ride!
Don't worry about Crispian, it shall not be I who consumes your pet (but I'd watch Jerms closely if I were you)
I've never eaten a frog, you don't meet many french girls in Oz

I've always wanted to get a bike, but too many people have been warning me off it...my folks, my mates..."too dangerous" and the like...I think sometimes they forget how cautious paranoia makes you
But I am working up the motivation to do it...unfortunately that rarely amounts to anything of substance
I only found out the other week my bf has French blood...does that count ? Although I am vegetarian, so...
And howdy luvwotiz !! It may take a while for them to put you on the list...Cafram (the girl who puts people on the list ) has one of those "real life" thingies that means she kind of drifts in and out...
*holds out a bag of lollipops*
In the meantime...fancy a chupa chup anyone ??

Paranoia is a good attitude for riding - Them cage drivers is out to get ya.
Hmm a vegan huh? Then why do you have the necessary dental and digestive structures to handle the consumption of flesh? These things exist in humans for a good reason, if we'd never developed a taste for anything but fruit'n'veg we'd still be in the trees. (even chimps and gorillas are omnivors.)
Besides, I'm sure you're aware that some things can be 'eaten' without being consumed I get the feeling that this thread is gunna get 'yikes-ed' any minute now... perhaps we should move to less controversial topics such as the singing talents of frogs.

I live in the belief that pretty much everyone is out to get me...there's fewer unpleasant surpises that way
No I'm not a vegan, I'm a vegetarian . And yes I know that we were built to eat meat, because we needed meat to live happy healthy lives. But we don't these days. And I don't like the thought of taking a life if I don't need to
Yes, yes I know what you're saying ...as far as my belief system goes...as long as nothing dies it's alright....
yes, let's talk about Crispian
He sings *and* dances you know...but he always gets the "Nutbush" and the "Bust Stop" confused...I tell ya, you can't take that frog anywhere!

No such qualms about killing things - death is the ONLY natural consequence of life. [I'd kill and eat anything I needed to - even people, but only in the most desperate of situations of course - but as I discovered in another thread: I have no morals ]
It's actually that lack of morals thing that has lead me to no longer drinking in the pub across the way (see above) - someone who does drink there took exception to certain things that happened to his wife... I still say she started it, I said no the first time

Oh, if it were an eat or be eaten thing, or an eat or die situation, I would do it...and I daresay I would eat out of vengeance...but I don't see why an animal should lose it's life so I can momentarily savour the taste of it's flesh...
...anyway...I don't like banging on about it
I've been at the same pub for nearly 7 years now...my girl has been there maybe three...she has developed a reputation while I still barely blip on the radar...I will tell you what I told her..."do what you will, as often as you will, the key is *discretion*
