I came home and surprised my dad - I didn't tell him I was coming, and I was supposed to be coming home the following week - that's this weekend, because my holidays start then.
Three weeks of un-school-related bliss...

it was really freaky, Mum just sort of kept sputtering, an poking sis, just to make sure she really was there (she had come from australia, this was before I went to aus, following my big hippy sis)
I thought about springing a surprise visit this xmas, but Dad rekoned Mum wouldn't be able to handle it, so she knows we are coming, only 3 months to go........

I haven't been 'home' in 18 years, but did see Mum an Dad two years ago, the come over every 2 - 3 years, this time though I will be able to see my other sis, an 2 nephews an a niece that I have never seen
It has taken a long time for my Mum an I to build a relationship, due to some stuff in my childhood, we have worked really hard to be friends, so it will be really cool to see them
ps, I am a really big Daddys girl, as the last in the family, an I was supposed to be a boy, Dad brought me up as his boy any way, fishing sailing, hunting, flying, computers, I am a real tomboy

Yeah, I think it's your frog. You should really get a leash or something for him, Tanzen, so you don't keep losing him.
Oh, and if you're landing in Melbourne airport, come and say hi to me.

Hmmm sounds like a yummy treat 'crispy' frog... I mean if you didn't want people to think of food when they met your pet why'd ya give hime such a food-sunding name?
I wonder which ancient Frenchman decided you could eat these things, and snails too. I mean *YUK* when I was a kid we were taught not to eat the things you found crawling around the garden

Maybe I should call him Ian while I'm in here then
Oh go on, don't pretend like you didn't try to eat a snail when you were a kid...or more recently

I'm sure that I was like most kids and tried to eat almost everything I found in the garden, but Me Mum had the good sense to teach me not to.
I've certainly never tried to eat anything named Ian.! Not that I'm against such things, just not my
