Allegedly working, Linus. I had a colleague called Pterry who used to do that, he'd wander around with a piece of paper all day, but he had a refinement - he *Looked Worried* as he wandered around the building... His name was Pterry, because it was short for Pterodactyl, then he wetn and joined the Pterritorials, which was just perfect!

Linus...42, i guess that makes me the answer... Posted Dec 31, 2002
ah yes. the 'looked worried' is good. If you can manage to ask a few questions so much the better and if you can ask a question that can't be answered and then tell them that you can't go any further until they get an answer then you have just struck the jackpot
All of this was fairly easily achieved as i was working as a consultant on a new and rather large financial application package.
I managed to drink DeBretts dry of Black Macs while i was there, so you can't say i wasn't productive

Hi, Jesi - and to all, a Happy New year! I have reasonably clear memories of the Datsuns and Pepsi Countdown..
I take it all back (well, most of it) It's ny and hot! 26*c, according to the Herald. You know what the Yanquis say - it's not the heat, it's the humidity!

Not bad! I have decided I actually like Bic Runga (I'd never properly listened before.) I especially like that one where she's walking down Cuba Street, singing about how:"I want a lawyer/I want to talk to ya"

Hi all
It seems from the posts the Auckland doesn't know what summer is. In Rotorua I've been burnt so many times that I've lost count. Now I'm a golden brown. We've just had our first rain for at least a month. A whole 15 minutes (and now it's all dry again). I spent christmas eve and christmas night in Whakatane and it was so hot I couldn't get to sleep 'till after 1am.

The bucket fountain deserves to be known all around the world and be as famous as the Trevi fountain!
Uncle Heavy, when you mention the Datsuns turing, do you mean touring the UK?

It is the sound of nostalgia in metal... Sigh, whisper. Like the Toot'n'Whistle in Kuirau Park, or or Ringo Starr narrating Thomas the Tank Engine - or the early seasons of Dr Who...
