Alternatively, here's a trick (not quite a puzzle, but funny) which has never to my knowledge failed to work. Ask someone to spell 'shop'. Get them to repeat it a few times if you feel this will help. Then ask them what you do at a green light. They will invariably notice that you're trying to trick them and will say, in all confidence 'stop'. Then wait a few minutes for their brains to catch up with their mouthes... NB: if they say 'shop', there's no hope.

Finally: what colour is a Peacock's egg?
