This is a very interesting entry!
I think it would be worth including here that Caroline Chisholm is generally considered to be the model for Mrs Jellyby in Dickens' Bleak House.
One small point:
"Archibald's grandparents were Scottish and were educated landowners. However, they had lost their money and land due to politics." "Due to politics" is supiciously vague--were they by any chance Highlanders involved in the 1745 rebellion? I think it would be worth pinning down that point.

Hey Azara
I hope the author won't mind if I go ahead and deal with these points.
I added in the bit about Bleak House in a footnote. I'm not sure about whether Archibald's family was directly involved in the 1745 rebellion, but, being a Highland family, they would have been impacted by the Highland Clearances of the 17th and 18th centuries, so I'll put that in.

Oops - I meant 18th and 19th centuries.

Successful use of a colon! I am so easily amused sometimes.
The second use looks fine, but would perhaps be a bit more readable if it were "concessions. She" instead.

I'm particularly glad you like it, Sea Change, as I pride myself on my good grammar. The second use has been changed.

He dragged me online.
Azara thanks for the interesting point about Mrs Jellyby. I am actually watching the BBC incarnation of Bleak House at the moment and enjoying it, so that is an interesting note.
I am also unsure about Archibald's grandparents. Unfortunately information about Archibald is annoying vague and I had little reference material to work from.
I am so glad that Echomikeromeo has edited these pieces, I am sure she will have noticed that my spelling and grammar is atrocious! So many thanks to her! And also thanks to her for responding in my absence!
Thanks for the comments!

EMR
One little thing I have just noticed. Maybe I am just being picky but the Caroline Chisholm School in Northampton is listed on the side as 'a school in Northampton'.
I feel this should be given its correct name in this referenced links part. I believe it can be done like this a school in Northampton
Thanks
