*giggles* not sure how I'd feel about oreo pie... I'm not too fond of American pastry because it's so sweet.. that's why I like Chez le Chef so much..
One of the hardest things to get used to after moving down here to the "new south" is having to order 'unsweet tea'.. it only took a couple rude surprises after ordering iced tea to learn to be more specific..

That I can cope with.. *giggles* on the occasion when I attempt a dessert recipe of any sort I've found it's much better for my taste if I eliminate 1/3 to 1/2 the sugar. Though true southerners would probably find it nasty.
There are advantages to living here.. like as a woman I'm able to say the most breathtakingly rude things about another person as long as I add in "bless his/her heart".

I've never noticed too much rudeness in NYC to be honest. On the other hand down here it's perfectly acceptable to turn to someone and say "Why bless your heart, that dress of yours is just like a circus tent!"

how do you mean anything about chocolate is fair game?
Long may chocolate be popular!
I read something very worrying in the papers here today - they are going to introduce testing to make sure sailors are not drunk

Shame you think we can bribe our way round the regulations - it does not sound as much fun as full on piracy Still I think we should warn the captain ...
Glad you approve of - its how I make my living when I am not being a pirate

*takes some to calm the nerves*
Rude in New york? I almost fell over from shock a while back when, sneezing as I crossed the street, I received a "bless you" from an attache case going in the opposite dirction.
