I just thought that after today's terrible events in the US, somewhere to post our thoughts when on board ship may be helpful.
I for one don't much feel in the mood for frivolities tonight and I am sure we all feel the same.
What little I can say on the subject seems rather pathetic compared to the enormity of the the disasters that have occured in New York and Washington amd also the downed aircraft, presumably the result of the crews' valiant attempt to overcome the hijackers.
I lived through some of London's most troubled times in the late 70s/ early 80's, married to a police officer who had to deal with the bombings alongside friends and colleagues. I can remember the fear of wondering if he was all right and the relief when he was able to phone.
Today brought all those memories flooding back. I have a small idea of how Americans are feeling today.

I just can't believe it's real.
Our tv was supposed to show Godzilla last night but it was canceled. The reality should have been canceled.

...i heard a radio interview with network camera operators who captured a lot of the images the world has seen...
'What was for you the most powerful image ?'
...one replied : 'the one image we will never see...
...that is the image of the passengers fighting back, on the flight that went down in Pennsylvania.'
so sorry
