Yeah. He does have a nice voice.
Haven't seen him on telly recently, not like Simon Jones. Simon Jones was in Cambridge spies I think. David Dixon's totally disappeared. I mean, as it is if you look on his page on imdb he hasn't done much telly for ages.
If anyone knows where he's gone they'll have to post something here. Its good to keep up with what the cast are doing now.

yeah, why is it that entire casts or main characters just disappear like that? i mean, what else has mark hamill been in apart from star wars? don't think i've seen any of the main character cast of hitchhiker in anything else.

No. I think its really weird too.
Maybe they've made all their money doing voiceovers for commercials or something daft like that. Have you seen the barclays ads? I quite like those. Don't like barclays much, but the ads are interesting. That money tree one with donald sutherland. Bet it cost a bomb to get him on board. I wonder how much he got paid.

who knows.....i did see somewhere that darth vader/hotblack's bodyguard guy was the lollipop man in an ad to get kids cross the road safely years ago. weird
do you think all these missing actors are out there somewhere acting, or are they becoming managers in tesco and stuff like that? how weird would that be?

Kaz Posted Nov 3, 2004
That would be very weird! Imagine David Dixon working in sainsburys or something...?
'....Hello, you were in hitchhikers weren't you?....'
weird.

NPY Posted Nov 4, 2004
yeah.....do you think they'd end up with a big grufe or would prefer it to acting?
can you imagine them standing there on a bad day "i used to be on tv and now look at me"

ahhh. Thats actually quite a sad thought. I feel all mean now.
Hey, just remembered something, theres a bloke in my group at uni who turned up at freshers week in a blazer and Jeans, and trouble is, cos he's got longish hair (sort of Dustin Hoffman in-all-the-presidents-men-styley) I just thought 'Ford.' and everytime I see him around now, I think 'Ford'. It is quite bad, because unless I find out his real name soon, he is going to be dubbed Ford for the rest of the year!

I wouldn't dare. He'd probably reckon I was a total nutter. As it is one of my lecturers from last year already thinks I'm obsessed with hhgttg.

Hi, sorry I've been gone for so long. There's no one at my school who looks like anyone from Hitchhiker's. I feel left out.

NPY Posted Nov 18, 2004

....Still got Christmas shopping to do...
Why is it always your brother/sister who is the most difficult person to get something for?

NPY Posted Dec 15, 2004
i know the feeling.
tho usually blokes are hardest no matter what relation they are. dunno why tho.

Kaz Posted Dec 17, 2004
me niether. weird isn't it? I never know what to get my dad. He usually ends up with socks or something equally boring.
What would be really useful is if all the blokes on h2g2 could come up with a list of what they wanted for xmas. No doubt there'd be some trends, and then the ladies might actually be able to make a well informed descision as to what their other halves/fathers/brothers/cousins etc wanted!
Because if you ask them individually, you never get a proper answer.

yeah. though i have to admit that if i'm asked what i want for xmas i usually can't think of anything and say to suprise me.
