Hello! Your campaign page is gorgeous!
I'd be very interested to know why the words 'be he ne'er so vile' don't appear at the end of the passage from 'Henry V' at the top of the page. It's not just the scansion - is there something you're not telling your supporters? A king addresses his cannon-fodder (forgive the anachronism) on the eve of a battle he wins, but at their expense?
Hmmm? Isn't it though?

I didn't include that part because I don't like it I always leave it out when I quote that passage in RL. I added a nice little [...] as you saw, though. I'd be happy to include that if it's Hypatia's pleasure to request it of me.
Is there something we can do for the ReddyFreddy campaign?

Hi again, Trin. Jodan is responsible for the campaign page. It is nice, isn't it?
I am gratified to find someone who reads Shakespeare. Good for you. As to the quote - well, with Shakespeare you have to stop someplace. And that seemed like a good place.

Trin Tragula Posted Sep 15, 2005
No, thankyou The Reddyfreddy campaign is ticking along nicely.
Though I think Falstaff might be more in our line at the moment

Trin Tragula Posted Sep 15, 2005
There's plenty more where that came from. Our jingle is done. The is sorted. The rest is mere detail.

Tell me about it After we took a stand on the cake tax and wrote a pledge of Hypatia... well the voters practically bribed themselves
"[...]"
Trin Tragula Posted Sep 15, 2005
Do you not worry that the voters are going to take the , scoff the , quaff the , probably feel a bit bloated for a while, have a little lie down, then go off and vote for someone else entirely?
"[...]"
J Posted Sep 15, 2005
Nope. Sounds like you're worried about that, though
Almost all the folks that constitute our half-century of supporters are site friends, or have a vested interest in seeing Hyp elected... as all of us do
"[...]"
Trin Tragula Posted Sep 15, 2005
Well, my candidate is well-liked and much respected and has oodles of on-site friends.
On the down side, most of them seem to be standing as well. Which is a bit of a drawback

So Trin *pours some cider*
If Hyp wins this thing, what sort of cabinet post would you like? We'll reward you even if you don't support us... for being an all around good egg. Don't let that get around though
If RF wins, I'd like to be official Grand Pooh-Bah of Ohio If that's possible.

Trin Tragula Posted Sep 16, 2005
Cor! Well, that's very generous. I've not really thought about after the election. I suspect I'll want to take a break from politics and write my history of the campaign in a secluded cottage somewhere. Otherwise, I'd be flirting with burn-out
Minister of avoiding burn-out and taking a back seat?
Grand Pooh-Bah of Ohio? Done! (We haven't even started apportioning out the various continents yet - would you like a larger slice?)

Trin, during the next weeks when you get tired from campaigning for Reddyfreddy, just come by and have a sit down and a natter and a wee . We're always glad to see you.
And invite Freddy over for as well. He'll be needing to rest now and then too.
"[...]"
Trin Tragula Posted Sep 16, 2005
Thanks! I will. And I'll try to get RF over too. It's great to have somewhere quiet and restful to get away from the hurly burly of the campaign trail.
And the of course.
Though I'm not sure my candidate is experiencing the same election stress as I am He does seem a bit *too* relaxed at times....
Nah! Confidence! That's what it is!

J Posted Sep 16, 2005
Stress? Confidence?
We have neither at Ozark HQ
Except confidence.
We'll be happy to see RF. He seems like a nice enough person.
I do worry about misunderstanding his hegemony speeches.
Key: Complain about this post
