OF COURSE! Since there are no rules of membership, anyone can be a Zaphodista. And if anyone higher up gives you grief, tell them, "YOU MAY ALREADY BE A ZAPHODISTA!"
(You're not in it just for the beret, are you? Well, even that doesn't matter, as long as the beret is not ALABASTER colored.)

Sorry, maybe I should have made a clearer announcement about this. Originally I had no plans to sign names at the bottom of the Zaphodista page, just let everybody post in that forum who wanted to become members.
I wasn't sure if the people who signed that other forum would want to be directly seen as signing the demands and all that. So I wanted a clearer form of permission from everyone and started this thread titled LEAVE YOUR NAME AND U# HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE ADDED TO THE ZAPHODISTAS PAGE.
But thank you for bringing this up. I'll mention it over on that Member roster forum, in case any of them don't read it on this one.

My very first posting on h2g2 was Linda'd... at the time I was still rather optimistic, not realising, at the time, how apoplectic such an event was to me. Mine wasn't the first, nor was it the last, but after encountering dozens of 'Post Removed for Moderation' , disrupting forums like an oafish white elephant meandering through town. 'Why had this been removed?' 'I can't say the name of my favorite _____ ? ' 'What the bloody narker happened to my picture?' etc. etc. etc. etc.
It seems to me that if the BBC wanted to fund this experiment in community they should have factored in the needs of the community. Would you willingly live in a place where artistic freedom is prosecuted? Where you can't refer people to other places to go, for fear of being silenced? Where you can't voice your disapproval for fear of further opression?
Throwing in the excuse (if you can call it that) that the community is provided for us free of charge is simply not a viable excuse, and it never did hold water. What would the community be without us, the researchers?
Sick and tired of not being able to give out urls, post pictures, talk freely in other languages, and say such nasty words as b*****d and poop, well, I, I ...
*briefly stutters*
