Common scum. I think they shouldn't be let in again at all.
Well we can all blame Abi - we were quietly and industrially testing until she threw a party.

Heh -- that might lose its impact, what with H2G2's new "no pictures" policy!
Mind you, with my (lack of) poker-playing ability, I'd probably be starkers in about eight seconds...

MaW Posted Mar 10, 2001
I didn't feel left out before we got let in because I didn't know anyone had been let in before us until I got here. And then I didn't feel particularly left out either. I've decided to be very happy that I'm a Guru and so got let in when I did...
Now, to the more important things. toasties anyone?

But I'm only wearing a dressing gown. That would only count as one item unless I can take the rope off seperately.

* hands Peregrin a £10,000 gift voucher to spend at Harrods *
Go buy yourself a pair of underpants. If you're lucky, you might have enough left over for a cup of tea.

Do they sell chastity belts?
Or will the BBC be handing them out anyway?
The Dance Floor
The Dancing Tree Posted Mar 10, 2001
Does who sell them? Harrods or the Beeb?
I don't think the Beeb are the kind to be so OOT as to go for virtual chastity belts. They are more like a nagging parent from when you were a teenager, wagging a finger and saying, "you'd better not get up to no good".

Yes, the BBC do tend to do that...
Look on the bright side people! h2g2 wasn't bought out by some company determined to squeeze us dry of every penny they can make and then dump us by the roadside.

Yeah..... at least the BBC isn't Micro$oft..... Although, The BBC does seem to be a little prudish... But then again I'm in the States....

It's British, what do you expect!
Mind you, the American censors tend to be even worse than the British nowadays, so that generalisation is no longer strictly true. Just look at the differences in the British and US versions of the South Park movie

MaW Posted Mar 10, 2001
But we like the BBC being prudish... it's part of our national identity and makes us feel safe and all warm in a glowing kind of way.
Well, I do anyway. Maybe it's because I'm a fair bit prudish myself. Almost all of the rules are ones I follow by myself anyway, especially on public forums.

I've got no problem with that. I mean you guys did give the world Monty Python and Benny Hill.... Hehehe Actually, I really dislike all this Puritanical stuff that's going on over here. It's like they only do that for vainity. Oh well..... damn Puritans. Why did they have to land HERE anyway? (no offensive to anyone who is a Puritan though... I don't want to be burned at the stake or anything....) All in good fun!

I think American censors only do it for the shear vainity of it..... It goes with all that Puritanical nonsence.

LOL! {@TC's posting!}
And the rest of you...*sigh* it's good to be back, that's the first "backlog" I've read since January & very enjoyable it was too!
Strip poker with two items of clothing?
I can beat that.
I'm only wearing my angel gown...
...unless you count my halo.
