A Conversation for The Manifesto for the Campaign to rename Thursday, "Thing"
Not again!

Many years ago, about eight of us who worked in the same office renamed the days of the week to Suggy, Muggy, Chuggy, Weggy, Thuggy, Friggy and Saggy. I've used this ever since, as have some members of my family and some friends. I have enough difficulty with normal day names without having to learn more.
The list derived from a very bad joke about three (hard of hearing) old ladies, at the seaside, sitting in deck chairs.
1st old lady: It's muggy today.
2nd old lady: No. I think it's Thursday.
3rd old lady: So am I. Let's go and have a cup of tea.
(Maybe you have to say it in a scouse accent.)
I've never got the hang of Thuggys (or thuggies) either.
Key: Complain about this post
