Actually, technically, specifically more accurately, we should have said we're going to make an announcement very soon, this week, early this week, not necessarily today, it may be today, it could be tomorrow.

No no no no no no h2g2eds - that isn't how you do it!
If you don't know for sure whether it will be monday or friday this week, or any point inbetween, what you say is that you can deliver - i mean make the announcement - *next* week. Then whenever it is this week that you do make the announcement it looks like you have been incredibly efficient and effective in being able to make it early!
Don't they send you on Project Management training courses at the beeb?
