I have just been appointed as the personal Muse of poet Hullabaloo.
I should, perhaps, have applied here for a general Museship before applying for that position.
I see that the position of Muse of Poetry is already taken. May I have a general Museship to allow me to continue with my work?
Please let me know if there are further steps to be taken.
Beth

Hellooooo!!!! Mothers and apple pie for all!! Or, well, something like that. I am humbly requesting a museship -- perhaps of the American ways??? I am, after all, American, although I should perhaps fear for my life when I admit that. Or the museship of rubber stamps, you know, they're virtually the same thing.

Hello
I would like to be the Muse of Feely Materials: a subject very close to my heart. I don't think this one has been taken!
I have read the rules carefully, and I agree...

Perhaps, then, I should Pass
For
General Museships give me terrible Gas
And
Although I've never been called a big fat a**
I
Still think that perhaps I should Pass.

Sorry, Thog,.. I was being vague...
I was talking to Beth about the standard Museship... She wants to be Muse of Poetry, but it's taken... I've thought of some alternatives: Muse of Poetic License or Poetic Justice...!?? Or Poetic Inspiration!??
Thog, Muse of Rubber Stamps will do... If not Muse of American Ways, How about Muse of Apple Pies and Other American Icons!?? Herrrmmm.... Or some such!!!
It is nice to meet you here, Lenny!!! Feely Materials are VERY NICE!!!
Please consider yourself an Honorary Muse for now...

Is there any possibility I could be Muse of Sci-Fi spoilers? PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
It is a subject that is most dear to my heart so even though it's not on the list of available museships I thought it would be worth asking. If it is a possibility then..........instruct me. I will do what ever mighty musemasters suggest. even giving up chocolate milk for a week

Beth, you need a particular title to become a muse, my dear....
Thog, I will change your title, but it won't appear different for a bit... ok!?? If that's what you truly want...
And HI, FABT!!! Your Museship sounds just fine-- NEVER GIVE UP ON CHOCOLATE MILK!!!!

you need a muse of halloween, and one of Christmas. Yeh, I know, everybody doesn't celebrate them, but enough do, and the Holidays have a feel about them.
the spirit of christmas wouldn't be commercialised.Hot chocolate and sleigh rides. Remember O Henry's Gift of the Magi? This muse could remind the h2g2 researchers what the holiday was supposed to mean.
Same with halloween. Spooky fun, and wintery fun.
Also a spring and maybe a summer muse would be cool. Spring for new animals, nature rebirth, could have fairies and elves. Summer is perfect for swimming, lazy days and nights under the stars.
museships for Solstices and equinoxes, (or for the 4 seasons), that would include festivities, could be appointed, if you don't want to work with specific holidays.
I'd ask to be the muse of halloween, myself, but I'm a war mongerer, And would make a lousy pacifist, so I'd spend most of my time in community service, or get ex-communicated.
besides, I'm already acting like the Halloween ghost, and I plan on being the of christmas past. He was a jolly old fellow, and I can give out gifts and eggnog.
::drops off haloween candy and a pre-christmas batch of eggnog::
