about Gin and Tonics in the guide. Keep looking. We all have our own opinions and we all think ours don't stink.

Gin - I bought a bottle of it (a pretty good brand I'm told, Tanqueray) made a few Martini's. Yuck. Tryed Gin by itself, Yuck. I need to try this Gin and TOnic thing, and the Tom Collins thing, and the rest of any gin mixing ideas I can get, because, althought I think it tastes pretty nasty by itself, I feel it has great potential in mixed drinks. I'll be sure to come back with my impressions of the magical intoxications that I find and create !!!!

Keep trying. Remember, Dean Martin said you are not drunk if you can lay on the floor without holding on

Fresh Limes are a must for G&T Nereus, but start with the lime juice if you need to.

Where did this conversation come from? I didn't get a notification. *Grumpf*
Anyway I'm glad you're here.
About the lime juice: Don't do it. It would not be G&T. If you must you can drink something else. But at least don't call it a G&T, ok?

There used to be a very detailed, almost to the point of being religious, entry on how to make THE G&T at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A76213. After Rubert, it hasn't been reactivated though.
Begin a die-hard G&T drinker -- I've tried to get myself off the habit by having too much of it on several occasions to no avail, "alas" -- I really liked that entry.
A.o. it stated that "tonic can be found on the top shelf of your fridge". Now, somebody who so subtly implies that you naturally always are stocked up with tonic is a true addict. Like me!
I'll try to think of something else to add - the topic merits it!

And sorry about the double post - NOT too much G&T - but an ISP that needs changing....
I even tried to check my MP-page after the first post, didn't show up, had to restart my net connection, found it twice...
Sorry about that. More s needed!
