Friar

Hi folks!
I have a little reuqest for help, one angel to another.

I've currently fallen into a lot of free time and have been spending it lovingly in h2g2. Yeah!
Anyway, I've undertaken a few major projects.
My plea for help is in regards to my University of Life Project on the Human Shoulder: A783678.
I'm trying to create it so that the non-medical jargon speakers can come away from it with some knowledge of the shoulder. The first three chapters are written pretty clearly (I think) and I'm working on translating the rest into real language. I was just wondering if people could read it and understand any of it. I don't really need formal editing help yet, just an idea if I'm on the right track, or if I need to fix it differently.

I realize this isn't a real Guardian Angel issue, but for the most part, the Angels are the nicest and most helpful people around. plus I'm not committing you to the project the way I might with and ACE or subeditor (unless you WANT to commit. . .).

Thanks!!!
Friar

I'll read your entry when it's finished.
Perhaps some advice for sufferers?

I'm certainly going to include common illnesses of the shoulder.
I find that patients feel a little better if they understand what's going on. They can participate in their own recovery if they understand.
Also, I'm going to be including a section on therapies and interventions for the shoulder, unfortunately this section is shorter than the part on diseases.smiley - sadface

For now the line advice is: if the disease ends with -itis then there's inflammation. That means use anti-infalmmatory medicine is possible, rest, and ice. Sometimes with long term illnesses, like arthritis secondary to osteoporosis, low weight, high repitition strengthening exercises help.

Hello, I'm new here, so I hope that I'm doing this right. I was warmly welcomed by Friar and Kristina the Flamenco Dancer. I think that I might need some divine intervention. I am just starting out, and I have very little idea as to what I am doing!! smiley - smiley Help?
