*sweeps the tree thread clean of leaves and dust*
*lays out some tempting cheese.*

now that would hardly be tempting would it?
Its fine lancashire cheese, I bought it yesterday, and I've got some cream crackers and crunchy apples to go with it.

mmm cheese.
I was reading in a book the other day that human DNA has the capacity for tails! its because we share so much of our genetic structure with the rest of the living world.
I've been working on growing my tail so that I can swing through the trees, and hang from the hadrails on the tube.

Ooh this is an interesting point!
We certainly have the genes for growing long tails ... so how do we activate them?
Part of what I aim at in my own utopic fantasy vision, is that human beings will gain better control over their own bodies ... a very great deepening of conscious processes, so that you become more aware of - and more in control of - what is happening inside your body. First it will be a greater awareness of your muscles and organs ... then deepening to a greater awareness of the insides of the tisssues, individual cells ... then deepening to an awareness of what goes on inside individual cells ... and finally an awareness of the very DNA and genes themselves. Finally we will have control over our genes and the way they manifest. We could put our development in reverse, go back to being a baby or a fetus, and then develop in an entirely new direction! We could then become almost anything we can imagine ... an elephant, a giraffe, a gazelle, a dolphin, a crocodile ...
At this point we'll also be effectively immortal!
The question is, is this possible? Could we gain conscious control over all the bits and processes of our bodies? It would be nice if we could, wouldn't it!
