Just incase it gets snipped again, heres the higlights. Its a story from the beeb's correspondant in Mexico.
"This is a country of gigantic extremes. It has the largest debt with the World Bank, but more billionaires than Britain. It signs every free trade offer going, letting in foreign banks, and privatising what it can, while the poor suffer low wages and bad conditions in sweatshops as bad any in the world."
And heres the Mark Thomas punchline...
Mexican President Vicente Fox, elected a year ago this week is a former Coca-Cola executive.

If you were going to attend the 'Fiesta for life against death' ~ a protest against the arms trade (11 Sep, Docklands, London UK) and were going to take a poster, what would you put on the poster?
I was considering 'MAKING A KILLING?' with a pic of the earth on the back and the oneworld web address. Or maybe quoting crass, fight war not wars.
And what to wear? I want a proper carnival look ~ a silver bra? Face paint?
Any suggestions? Anyone else wanna come and so the anti-death hippy protest thing?

Hi Jk To my eternal shame I missed that one. :-( a combination of hangover and transport delays, work looming and generally failing to get my lazy ass in gear meant I didn't make it. I heard it was a good un. I hope to go to the one on the 18th, but already had planned to see Mina and Mandragora that day, so am
