I've finally got round to putting and tags in.
I've also changed the links to the DfT's statistics and the Highway Code so they should link straight to the documents. Is this right?
The other links are more to the organisation than a particular document. Is this all right?

Good stuff - might be worth giving Sustrans (www.sustrans.org) a mention as they're responsible for much of the National Cycle Network, as well as being a general cycling advocacy group.
Helmets, I'm part of the nay camp unless I'm going off-road. They limit your vision and hearing, many motorists seem to think that they project a forcefield around the whole body and in most kinds of bike versus car crash, they'd be ineffective.
Nice work

>>Cycle tracks and lanes can provide a great encouragement to cycling but they need to be well designed and maintained.<<
I know a rather young architectural office in Romania. They're perpetually on the edge of bankruptcy because they do so many not-for-profit social-type project. One of the more recent ones was a cycle path for Bucharest. They finally managed to persuade the city to invest in it, carefully designed the route, supervised the building... Unfortunately, the city of Bucharest later *didn't* approve the bridges and crossings leading to it (it's a loop inside a major road that also loops) and so it's entirely useless, because nobody can get to it safely...

Also, you'll need to provide slightly more information for the statistics - namely which group they apply to. "2,564 were killed or seriously injured in road accidents in 2007" - in London? In the UK? In the world? Does this include Martian cyclists?

MVP have you heard about http://www.ghostbikes.org/ ? I read about it in my paper today and thought about this Entry. You don't have to reference it in your Entry or add anything to the text, it's just something I thought might be of interest

Thanks for your comments everyone
HonestIago - sorry I failed to credit Sustrans for their role in pushing cycle routes-I've rectified this omission.
Malabrista - the statistics are GB, though I like the idea of Martian cyclists.
Galaxy Babe - I hadn't heard of ghostbikes. They sound like a sobering memorial, but I have a feeling the authorities would remove them.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
