Whoami? smiley - cake the time I wrote about previousely was long ago. This war is just too recent to relate to.

But when I was traveling years ago I met those always present human attitudes: why the poor hates the rich? Why the stupid hates the smart? Why the uneducated hates the learned once?===
These are human attitudes. Always present at any time anywhere.
Ofcourse some times the frictions getting sharp edges against each other, than possible leave the scene is the best.

In depth analysis,-- best place to look is in biology including the entire animal kingdom. One can find lot of explainations. Very common is: territorial differences. Economical problems. And mostly a great deal based in the human mind: envy, gread, bunch of human neurotic, useless aspirations.

At the present time is not that much of the safety of flying, but after landing where ever: what can you expect? Money is not always the answer.
In many cases it seems it is more important to "blow off" the anger, the hatered which can not be silenced with money!!!
So we wait til the turmoil will subside in this troubled world. Because every day is an other day, a different day an always changing time and life etc.

I wonder if over there is a week-end so important as it is here? Do they say: " Thank God is Friday" or do they call Monday a BLUE day? Do people hate to work everywhere? Doing nothing is not boring?
Don't you think this is more interesting than discussing GML?

smiley - erm Well, that's human nature I suppose.

I'd say this was a better time to travel than ever before, with the exception of SARS. Places are gagging for gullible American tourists to rip off. smiley - winkeye

No, but seriously, the lack of Americans is seriously hitting the tourist economy over here.

Yes, this is more interesting than GML. smiley - laugh

Yeah! Tell me about the "american tourist"!!! When somebody is new in this country they call it: "green horn". But when these "wise guys" go aboard they don't even know how they are ripped off!

Because I have experience from both sides, I can tell: wow, you know, I am not an american, I am coming from an unfortunate country and if you don't like that I speak english, I can even say it in german or french and you still don't understand what I am saying in hungarian... No, I am not telling you. You are not there to ripp me off! But it is a definite: NO! to travel over the pond.

Apropo: h2g2 was planning a "meet up" in North America but also was canceled. It is OK. Belive me: it is OK. Do you have a Mother's Day there? smiley - love Gecko smiley - smiley
You did not answer about Friday? Monday? Any time? I guess because is same every where! You mean human nature? You mean: nobody likes to work? --- How about "workaholics?" ( Nutty humans hm?)

Whoami? smiley - cake On your other thread ( I am getting there) I left you a msg: h2g2 did not let me post: TECHNICAL PROBLEMS.

Other subject: See the news and come to the conclusion why we don't want to travel? Future is always unpredictable, but at this time one just does not want to take a chance... For a holiday...
History of mankind does not record from the past this kind of a human behavior. smiley - love Gecko smiley - sadfacesmiley - grr
