what is the meaning of life?
Researcher 185550 Posted Nov 9, 2003
It's me being unsure about what gets moderated and what doesn't. And being vaguely ACEy as well.
Sure it was.

there's a page... somewhere... about what gets moderated...

Buggery might get moderated. And crap. But I think that we rely mainly on user notification here. since the mods don't have time to run round each thread, they just let people who will be offended by such things report them.

Aaaaaaaaaah. That narrows up the list of things I can say. Odd however to find that the word "ch*nk" was not on the racial lists.

The meaning of life
Prince_of_shadow Posted Nov 10, 2003
Life is an experience that we all communicate to the universe upon our deaths to allow all other life forms aware of what it takes to be happy. If we learn through our lives that treating other people like scum makes us happy then more people are likly to treat others like scum. if we learn that happiness comes from treating others with dignity and respect and the reciprocation of such actions then future generations will develop these characteristics.
The meaning of life is to obtain as much joy as is humanly possible.

Then your meaning and mine are similar. I think that it is to experience as much as is humanly possible.
But what about these other life forms? Does that include humans? Do we learn from the past's mistakes?

Which, for you, Roadkill, should be a negative value, I imagine...

Hey, *I'm* a blabbermouth, and it's better than people saying nothin' at all. However in real life I'm a silent melancholy type, so I getcha loud and clear.
Were you a loudmouth at the beginning of the Lies thread? If so, I want to go back and see what you mean...
The meaning of life
Researcher 185550 Posted Nov 10, 2003
I am silent as I can be in real life. I'm slightly gaunt as well, and the fat that has recently begun to stick to my arms looks like a heroin abscess. I look diseased, man. People listen to my words because, well, apart from being of incalculable value (but of course) they may well be my last ones for all they know.
Not really. I was an annoying socialist loudmouth on newsfilter.org, which taught me when to shut up.

Mal Posted Nov 10, 2003
Socialist? And there was me thinking that you were a fellow kamrad!
Tch, in real life I'm goodish lookingy (or so the girlfriend says. Ptah, I say, and she replies, "the ancient Egyptian god?") but again slightly weedy. People listen to me because everything I say is either clever or funny or both or humourously stupid, yay.

I'm a wobbly red. Besides, they would have cyber- lynched me if I'd said I was a communist. How ironic.
I change all the time. I'm verging onto anarchist at the moment.

Mal Posted Nov 10, 2003
Oh, I change too, but more regularly philosophically than politically. Currently I'm anarcho-capitalist, but tending towards the techno-capitalist.
