I have to agree with Math, there.
It's hard to trust a self-professed christian. The oath business is part of it, but on a larger issue, the problem is that there is no consistent moral code that one can associate with christianity. When someone says that his or her life is based on christian principles, it's a good idea to start hiding your valuables and ask your children to go play at the neighbour's house.

Sigh, obviously I couldn't agree less, and believe your remarks to be prejudice, pure and simple!
There's no doubt that certain parts of the Christian moral code are indispensible. Honesty, for one.
Really there's nothing else I can say... or, really should bother saying, given the audience! Minds made up, every one of them.

<> Far from it. Prejudice means judging in advance of the evidence. The evidence is there and has been considered.
What christian moral code? Some Christians follow some rules, some follow others, most act as though "commandments" are really more of a set of guidelines. One can't even get christians to agree on those commandments.
I've even heard one dimwit say that all commandments are important but that some don't matter. Really! I did!
Just try asking a christian what criteria are employed to select which commandments to obey and which are okay to disregard and you'll be accused of personal abuse. That's the level of honesty one has to deal with when coping with those who shrilly flaunt their christianity.
No, when someone insists that they have christian morals, it's a good time to watch them very carefully.

The whole truth and nothing but the truth...well apart from the typos...and the spelling mistakes....and the accidentally cut and pasted quotes...

Hi! Jez sorry to hear about your situation, at least you are still in one peice.
In an attempt to make things clearer, quotes from prvious posts by me appear within <<...>> and quotes by others "...
"your posting was incomprehensible, to put it mildly. You really shouldn't post when tired and emotional...
Sorry about the typos, bad style and spelling mistakes. I really should try harder to eliminate mistakes, but if you think its hard trying to read my posts, you should try being on a dance floor anywhere within a dozen or so feet of me and that's when Im sober!
As for when Im "tired and emotional" (still my favourite euphamism for drunk) Ive generally got better things to do than get online. Currently Im "back in the saddle", the lucky recipient of the *funky badger love*TM has 38GG trust me late at night Ive got better things to do with my hands
The problems recently have been largely to do with my usual inept typing plus the fact of being out of the office and the sensitive keys on a laptop not being the best match for a ham fisted rugby players hands. One thing I do like about the laptop is that it has a mozzila browser installed and that has a spell checker that wrks within the "reply" box on H2G2.
"I am answering you, Hooray Henry, because I have a need to educate. (I am a teacher after all...) I doubt you're celver enough to understand, but I believe no one is a hopeless case...
If you really have a need to educate can you tell us what "natural" means?
Let me give you a heads up: What you have is a need to *be educated*.
In Civillised countries there is a minimum standard for the profession of a teaching. You dont meet that minimum standard. Although you have tried before to slip this lie past us a few times previously, those of us who know you better already know you are an ex-assistant teacher for children with special needs. Please try to understand the difference and appreciate that we arent all easily hoodwinked into accepting any old thing you post.
Recently you tried to tell us that men cant breast feed, you were wrong. How many other things that you are wrong about did you try to cram into the heads of the poor unfortunate students who came within your incluence?
<>
"As I've tried to tell Effers, that doesn't mean being a doormat. As a woman, she should appreciate that point.
What has Fanny's gender got to do with this? And who is making you into a doormat? You claim to have better judgement, (which I will believe when I see you displaying it) why dont you rise above making sexist comments and getting into fights then?
<>
"Blickster, you may have started off working class! (Although I doubt it...) But I've heard somewhere on h2g2 just exactly *why* you're so well acquainted with the law!
As a lot of people know, but some might not, I have been arrested charged and convicted for seven counts each of theft and criminal damage. Now that everyone in this thread knows you might feel happier, as it happens Im completely ambivalent about my past. Its something I cant go back and change, but it is something I can learn from.
Anyway I said "know", this means they are people I have met in a non-professional capacity, friends of friends and people I play rugby with if you must know.
"everyone hates everyone else, and is trying to get one over on them.)
Where is your better judgement then Della?
What you have done here is judge us based on your own emotional state. I dont hate az or ferrettbro or Fanny to name just three, obviously I like Noggin and from what Ive seen so does someone else
one love
ps, what makes you doubt that Im working class, is it the same thing that made you doubt:
what I said about my ethnicity?
my assurance that it was'nt me who hacked Empty Sky's Uspace?
that I worked with underpriviliged children?
ie. the same thing in all cases your own hatred and mistrust of anyone who has the temerity to disagree with your religion warped world view or cal you on your more obvious falsifications like your sockpuppet accounts and made up statistics.

My spell-checker also works within the boxes, and does predictive text as well
Or maybe it's my gods helping me out...

You're comprehensively wrong about that... But why should I bother? (Degree in education, experience in both special needs and language teaching... I don't care if you believe it or not.)

Are you saying they can?

Well yes, after doing only a little research which provided lots of testimony to back up what I already had lodged in the deeper recesses of my memory regarding male lactation due to certain medical conditions.
Now as someone who moans about other people not reading their links ought to be suprised that you didn't look into the links someone provided for you, but knowing that your intensely hypocritical I'm not in the least bit surprised to find out you haven't.

My friend D's father had breast cancer awhile ago and had to have surgery, chemo, etc. There was no mention about him lactating, but just to say, breast cancer in men is clearly a reality.

What links would that be then? You call me hypocritical, but if I was to take the same tone with you and tell you exactly what kind of a great guy you are, I'd probably be banned.
So what exactly *does* that make you?

The links I posted and that you ignored are in the post that follows yours.

Looking back over the posts, I see that someone said they had nothing more to say. Then that same person came back and gratuitously trashed the other researchers here. That would be what? Honest? An indispensible bit of morality cleverly disguised as rank hypocritsy?
I mention this not to offend or inflame but to point out that that sort of trolling is so commonplace among those who claim christian morality, that one would have to agree with them. That IS christian morality. The spooky part is that these very same people insist on imposing their brand of false morality on the rest of us.
Based on the evidence, it seems as though christian morality means a lot of lying. It is for that reason, perhaps, that self-professed christians are not taken seriously by many rational people.

Jesus said, render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's.
He was talking about taxation.
That being so, why are Christian Churches tax-exempt?

Hi Della,
Could I have your opinion on the following parts of the Christian moral code?
1 Corinthians
14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
Ephesians
5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord
5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing
Colossians
3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
1 Timothy
2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection
2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
1 Peter
3:1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
Or we to be entertained to your pick'n'mix approach to your religion once more?
Blessings,
Matholwch .
