This is perhaps going to be my lasting tribute to Monty Python (Though the only one I've seen so far is Quest for the Holy Grail) : "...In a handbasket. Yes, one with pretty little ribbons on it. I'll even send you guys a postcard, ?"

There. *feels better*
---And for any of the political lefties out there: Think tanks. We pay them to think, yet they churn out tanks.---
Righties, : I'll have a pretty good joke about lefties too.

"Yes... Interesting."

Meditation can boost your gray matter!
‘Buddhist Insight’ practitioners build thicker cortical region.
"Meditation alters brain patterns in ways that are likely permanent, scientists have known. But a new study shows key parts of the brain actually get thicker through the practice."

>>That's awesome!
What sort of a tune/rhythm is it sung to?<<
It's not possible to explain this on a message board, I am sorry to say.
Think of a rhythmic shanty-style idea, and keep the melody on around four or five notes, chant the poem keeping the emphasis on the alliterative fronts of the words, pause where there are punctualtion and run through where there are not...
And it helps if you have a camp fire and a lot of mead.

Right, I'm trying to imagine it...
On the 'Story of English' TV series (I think that's where I saw it), there was a professor of Anglo-Saxon studies who did his impression of how Beowulf would have been performed in its time. He had this homemade lyre/harp-like object which he was strumming, and he was waving his head around and singing like a rocker. It was really quite funny. But only because it made me think a bit of the Rolling Stones.

Considering as well how "hip" it's been for vicars and priests to admit their homo-sexuality and also appointing an African Minister in York (Which is very kick ass) but contradicts the whole christian belief, I think the christian population has turned into a complete and utter joke, (In my oppinion is was before but recent actions now confirm this).
It also made me very happy when the christians were out-voted in teaching "Intelligent Design" as a science in place or Darwins theory of evolution, so therefore it would have been a case of "if you don't understand science then just believe in God....oh no, sorry "A higher power". You can't explain theories of factually based science with it's thorough explainations and research only to contract these theories with blind faith and believing that this "higher power" created things instead, and for the christians to basically force, yes, force this into public schools and impose it on impressionable children who are yet to thoroughly understand freedom of thought, is wrong and very NON-christian, again they're contradicting themselves and bordering on Nazi, in fact, I'd say Christians are Nazi's and I hate the fact that they think they're right about everything, when they're actually mis-informed and/or stupid. Plus as well, if you did want to learn about "Intelligent Design", well, isn't that what Religious Studies is for? It has it's own subject already. If it bugs you that much, drop Science and Study religion, don't impose it on us "non-believers!".
I'm not saying however that i don't believe in Jesus and SOME of the stories told in the bible, though I think the bible is totally over exaggerated and most of it doesn't make sense, the bare bones of the story of Jesus is believable, but I refuse to believe there is a God in that sense.
At the end of it all I don't believe there is a heaven or hell, I think that we'll just die, get buried or burn and quitely decompose and provide the surrounding plant life with nutrients tp help them grown. We are disposable and recyclable and that's fine by me, the birth rate is too high anyway, there's just too many humans here, hence global warming and war, all these issues wouldn't have occured if there was only a few of us.
Don't take this wrong but I think we should start a Communist Eutopia, well all wear barretts and call each other Che in the true spirit of things, anyone with me? Or is the secret service coming to pop a cap in my head? (I know you're reading this).

Hmm, I don't think priests admitting their homosexuality contradicts the whole Christian belief, just some of it, but then its a frequently contradictory set of beliefs. Not sure what appointing an African minister would have to do with any of that though.

Trust me. I'm a "Christian"... sortof. 1/2 one anyway.
That's probably another one of those "the less you try to go into it, the better." It'll just get more confusing and seemingly contradictory, I suppose ... Or not.
It's your own call really.
Be kinda mean if I went and tried out telling you 'how to think' and 'what to do/how to live out your life.'
That's what I kind of dislike about that sort of thing.
Well, mainly the snubbing & snobbery .
: So, nevermind...
