Prime Numbers are boring when people can't do simple math

Those are interesting, Alan..
The first one, Rapture Ready, fails to point out that many of those signs could have applied any time in the last 1800 years.
The second, I shall have to 'read and inwardly digest' as my old Mum would say... before I can comment.

"This thread is sufering from neglect! Where are you all?"

It's August. the whole world disappears in August (Why? It's the most expensive time of the year to take a holiday.) I love it from mid-July to the begining of September: hardly any queues on the roads; light traffic; I can get from A to B without hassle. It's *wonderful* smiley - magic

"What do you think of this; 'Signs of his coming' @ http://www.rapturealert.com/signsofhiscoming.html ?"

Ho hum. I see that the latest theory in what the 'Antichrist' is is connected with the European Union. A couple of decades ago it was connected with the USA, and before that the USSR. And you notice very little of this list is specific to this timeframe except the eixistence of Israel - which is why Millenial Christians as well as Jews want to support Israel.

Speaking of which, I wonder how the Zionists living in the Gaza strip are coping with the shock that the Messias did not return, and God did not stretch out his hand to show the world he had given this land to the Jewish people.

Speaking of dates, It seems like i can never get one. Maybe God(s) do not like me very much, 'cuz even when I do get accepted, then they'll turn around and reject me anyway. Oh well, people say college is different, and others say that college girls are supposedly a whole lot nicer than the ones in highschool, butsmiley - blue,-smiley - erm I don't know...
um, you know what I mean smiley - footinmouth: or maybe it is just another example of an accursed fate continuing to play cruel games against a mortal man, taking up time in his life . . . that could more productively be spent doing things smiley - doh.

They are, that's what my son has just found, they're friendlier and they treat guys like human beings, unlike high school girls who tend to regard boys as aliens. (I know I did!)

That's good, Joe. My son's experience was that high-school girls seemed very nervous of boys, and the ones he'smeeting in his first year at Uni are friendly and don't fear that he's thinking of only one thing - maybe it's that a good half of them are up to five years older than him! Myself, I went to an all-girls' school, and my only brother was nearly 10 years younger. So boys were aliens, I didn't quite know how to relate to them.
That being said, the school was a marvel and a wonder academically... smiley - smiley

huh. Well, you're both right, (I think anyways). I just wonder if I'm ever gonna meet anyone to whom it does not matter so much if you have a pair of glasses( and not be automatically perceived as a smiley - geek),smiley - erm don't own a fancy car or motorcycle or already have a job yetsmiley - footinmouth. I s'pposed that being a musician was a socially acceptable excuse, but I guess that only applies to guitarists. I wanna learn to play slack-key! Problem w/ the upright bass is that even though it is "portable," it isn't very convenient to carry. First I need ta get an empty Corecidin bottle to slide the strings w/. Do you think slack-key style would work on an electric? If fate as it has thusfar proven itself to predictably go has it's way, then probably no. now even the god(s) in most cultures at least had fate to contend with, though not always time necessarily...-speaking of mythologies and folklore now.smiley - tea

How about this one - modern Christian ideas of 'speaking in tongues' are completely opposite to those in the bible.

In Acts, the disciples are gifted the power (by possession by the Holy Spirit) of being heard by every person present in their own language, so that no-one needed an interpreter, whereas now people 'speaking in tongues' are incomprehensible to everyone present except one or two people who 'interpret' the gibberish they spout.

The languages are never real.

Now, when heathens are 'possessed' by their gods or goddesses, the words are in the language of those present. We know that the 'medium' is human, and is relaying the experience using their own bodies, and we do not expect them to start speaking in Old Icelandic, or even in modern French, unless they are a speaker of that language.

What is everyone's tale on this?

Jez
